[LATE CONVERSATIONS]

Just 2 hours ago she was sitting beside Stefan. In his bed, in his clothes waiting for Lara to pick her up. Now she was in her own bed. Under her knitted blankets.

The time read 1:15 am. She couldn't sleep, all she thought about was him. Her phone chimed 'from: stupid stef'. She opened the text. 'Can't sleep' he typed simply. 'Neither can I' she sent.

He called her. She answered "hello?" She said. "Hey" Stefans rather raspy voice came through. "What's up" she asked "I just wanted to hear your voice" he said truthfully.

She could hear him shift in bed. It was silent, a comfortable silence. "Stefan?" She whispered "yeah?" He answered. "Do you think I'm weird?" She asked. "Yeah" he answered. "Ouch" she laughed.

"It's true. But I like that your weird. You don't care about being normal all the time, your fine with who you are" he answered. "I think you have really nice eyes" she blurted. He lowly chuckled.

"Thank you" and then silence again. "Do you really like man eater" she said. Memories of him singing flooded her brain. "I'd be stupid not to" he laughed. "That is very much correct" she laughed along with him.

The two spent hours speaking on random things. From waffles to serial killers to tv shows. "I don't know all I'm saying is there is no way you wouldn't love to watch cartoons and relax"

"That does sound nice" he thought about it. "Miss mystic falls is tomorrow" he reminded. "Ugh screw you" she mumbled in her pillow. He laughed "you got your dress right" she asked. "Yes of course" she sighed.

From then on they fell asleep on the phone together. Stefan was happy. Zaria didn't know it but she was happy too. It's Stefan that made her feel at home. No one else.

- next morning lol-

Stefan drove in his car still on the phone. "Ugh hello" she groaned out. "Oh hey your up" he said. "Yeah I am" she sat up. "Go open the door" he told her. "Okay" she got up taking her phone with her.

He hung up and as soon as she swung the door open there stood Stefan. In hand was a donut and a coffee. "Carmel in the bottom, 6 sugars and milk" he said handing it to her. "Ah I love you right now. Come in" she said and walked to the kitchen.

He followed her. She sat on the counter eating as Stefan watched her. He was afraid to tell her. Last night after she fell asleep damon came in and made Stefan come with him.

They got the moonstone but Elena fed Stefan her blood. He wanted to tell her so bad, but something was wrong. He didn't feel the urge to rip her head off and suck her dry.

But he did want to go upstairs and rip her roommate to shreds. "I need to go but I'll see you later ok?" He said. "Yes of course" she gave a toothy grin. He then left. She smiled to herself as she finished her coffee.

"Stefan Salvatore" Lara stated sitting on the stairs. "Jeremy Gilbert" Zaria stated back. "Fair." Lara muttered. Zaria giggled and left the room. She readied herself to leave. Her phone buzzed.

'From Bonnie' she reluctantly opened the message. 'Z I know I messed up big and it's all my fault. I love you Z and I'm sorry. I'll be rooting for you today always-Bonnie'. Bonnie didn't expect her sister to care or to reply.

Bonnies phone chimed almost instantly. She opened it quickly. 'From Z <3'. She smiled lightly 'woah I have the great Bonnie Bennett rooting for me! Best cheerleader out there, love you too always- Zaria'.

For the first time in weeks no months she felt so much love from her sister. "What are you smiling at Bonnie?" Caroline asked. "Zaria." She stated simply and quickly.

Caroline nodded and didn't push further. From the age of 12 years old Zaria and Bonnie never got along. Zaria simply just didn't like being out with her sisters friends anymore.

She didn't like cheer and she damn sure didn't like gossiping about boys. And as they grew older they grew apart. I mean who can blame them they are polar opposites.
