[BRUTALLY HONEST ISN'T MEAN]

Zaria got dressed the next morning in flared leggings. A white turtle neck and threw a grey crew neck over it. She straightened her long hair and placed a headband on it.

She snatched her shades and her phone and left. While walking down the street Stefan Salvatore was spotted. "Can I give you a ride" he asked. "Sure" she told him and got in the car. The ride was rather silent.

"You look really nice" Stefan spoke. "I look so fucking preppy" she groaned. "It's nice. Not as good as your baggy pants and messy hair" he teased. "Like your one to talk with you wanna be comb over and wanna be bad boy style" she scoffed.

"Hey woah! Their is no wanna be nothing sweetheart. My hair is iconic" he said running his fingers through it. Zaria bursted out laughing as he did. "My hair is iconic" she mocked.

"What it is! 1920's I had the best hair" he scoffed. "In 1920's your ancient ass was probably kicking up dust and homeless" she laughed. "Harsh. And rude" he said with his mouth opened.

"Brutal honesty isn't mean. It's the truth be mad at yourself not me" she giggled at his pointed look. "I really missed your laugh zari" he told her. She smirked at him. "I bet you do".

"What class do you have" he asked. "Fucking history with Saltzman" she rolled her eyes. Stefan laughed before the asking the question. "Are you going to the decade dance?" He asked.

"The one next week?" She asked. "No in 40 years" he deadpanned. "Yeah why" she asked. "You wanna um go with me" he asked. "I would um love to" she mocked him. He smiled at her. She just noticed they were parked still chatting in the car.

"I'll text you later Salvatore" she smiled and left.

Last class of the day! Needless to say Zaria couldn't wait to lay in her bed. She was walking out the of the stall when Elena, Bonnie and Jeremy turned their heads to her.

"What the fuck are y'all doing in the bathroom?" She asked holding the top of the door. "Intervention" Jeremy muttered. "Lara told me you went to 6 parties this week! And came back hung over" Bonnie exclaimed.

"I don't have time for this shit b" she groaned. "Make time for it." Elena snapped. Zaria's face twisted instantly. "Z chill" Bonnie said noticing the look on her sister face.

"Nah because I'm not you or Caroline Bonnie. I'm me. And I don't shut up when Elena tells me to and I damn sure don't jump when she ask. I don't need a intervention bc I'm not a addict I did drugs so I didn't think about what I lier everyone is!".

Zaria pushed past them all and stormed to class. She sat down in the back. "Well well well Ms.Bennett" her teacher said. "I'm not in the mood carol so just teach fucking math and get on with your underpaid life".

The class bursted into laughter. "Get out" Mrs.Willams yelled. "Gladly Carol." Zaria snatched her bag up and stormed down the hall. "Fucking teachers! Fucking school! Ugh I hate it all" she mumbled.

Stefan heard her and walked out of class to check on her. "Zari! Slow down" he called out. He grabbed her arm causing her to stop and look at him with tears in her eyes.

"What's the matter" he asked. "Bonnie. She just ugh! And Elena they are always on my bumper. I'm not even related nor friends with Elena and Bonnie is my younger twin sister" she said.

Zaria began to pace "I-just I'm not addicted that's what their thinking and I've been sober since yesterday!" She ran her fingers through her hair. "I just wish Bonnie would remember I'm going through it too not just her stupid friends" she stoppped in front of Stefan.

"You know the only reason she thinks I'm not going through anything is because I'm not chasing the super natural" she froze at her own words. She pulled her bag farther up her arm.

"Zari you matter. Your feelings are just as important as anyone else's". Stefan placed his palms on her face. She smiled at him "thank you stef" she said. He kissed her forehead.

"Come on I'll take you home" he said.
