Chapter ten; 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 ?

Watching the building ignite in flames, the two boys staggered back, taking time to grieve the losses of the people they once knew, and would never see walking again. Through that moment, Tomioka began to feel as if he couldn't breathe, and his head was swirling and spiralling. He hated the feeling, and began to nearly trip to the ground.

"Giyuu? Are you okay?" Sabito questioned, holding onto the raven's hand, and not long after, he was forced to catch him as he'd collapsed.

Giyuu slowly awokened, being met with a confusing, and startling sight. He was in a hospital bed, with monitors beeping continously around him. He looked around, before sitting up, and being hit with a sharp pain in a familiar place. "Gah—!.." He winced, before sighing and grunting as he'd adjusted his position.

Once he'd sat up properly, he looked around, until his eyes focused on a small lighter by his side. He softened his gaze, picking it up and squeezing it tightly in his hands.

Every single one of their deaths all flashed through his head by the mere sight of the object. It was hell, death, and torture to think about.

Suddenly, the door slowly swung itself open—revealing a young man with a white T-shirt, and plain jeans, along with a silver chained necklace that had been dangling. He'd been holding a bouquet of roses, as his lavender eyes widened.

His hair wasn't down and as messy as usual, in fact, it was tied half up and half down with a thin, black hair tie.

"...Yuu." "Sabito?"

Instantaneously, Giyuu was pulled into a tight, warm embrace. He was at a loss for words, as he'd been held close by one he'd loved the most.

"You—..." Started Sabito, "You're awake." "How long have I not been?" "A week."

Giyuu paused, "That long?" "Yeah." "I'm sorry."

Sabito pulled away, gazing into the ravenette's eyes, "Why are you apologizing?" "Because—..." He looked at the lighter held into his hands, his eyes tapering, as his brows furrowed in guilt.

"...It's okay, it's not your fault, none of it was." "Of course it was, if I just—didn't let you in, if I just hurried you away immediately, you all would have survived."

"But you wouldn't." "I know."

The lavender-eyes softened the gaze he'd focused upon Tomioka, taking him by the hand, "It's all in the past now, I'm sure they're proud of us for escaping."

The mere thought sounded quite impossible to Giyuu, considering he'd barely seen the group sentimental before, but who knows? He'd only known them for a few days.

He looked up at Sabito, once again gentle creasing his eyebrows by only the slightest bit, his sight slowly pacing down to the pink-haired's lips.

As soon as Sabito noticed, he stiffened—his eyes following to the sight of Giyuu's lips, before regarding back into his eyes, his fingertips softly brushing against his own mouth.

"...Giyuu, I—" He was cut off by a sudden push by the lips. Tomioka's eyes were shut lightly, as his palm was pressed against Sabito's chest, while his free hand slowly crept to the back of the messy-haired's head.

Within a few seconds, the noirette pulled away. "I love you too." He said, as Sabito's eyes gleamed brightly. "...You—.."

"Sorry, was that too sudden?" Giyuu adjusted his posture, his cheeks warming from embarrassment. "No, no— it's okay."

It was silence, before Sabito leaned closer, the two's noses already coming into contact—as he'd whispered softly, "You don't know how long I've been waiting for you." "How long?" He hesitated, "Since five years ago."

The sapphire-eyed paused, before placing his hand against the other's cheek, "Well, now I do."

He leaned in for another kiss, as Sabito obliged. Slowly, the peach-haired began to push himself on top of Tomioka—pulling away for a brief moment to catch his breath.

The two were still quite close to one another, gazing into each other's eyes as if there was no tomorrow—none that they'd known of.

"...I love you." Spoke Sabito,

"I love you too." Said Giyuu.
