Chapter 37

On Friday of the first week of the new school year, Dongha and Seongmok decided to finally act. They located the lounge room where those working for Donald Na usually met up in and beat up all the members there with ease. They then sat down on a couch and waited for Donald Na himself to appear.

"We're meeting up at Dawn at her and her cousin's place tomorrow morning, right?" Dongha asked Seongmok and received a nod. "You still have the address she sent you?"

Seongmok nodded once more.

"Your bunny's gonna have a playdate with Dawn's brother's bunny," Dongha smiled. "We're also bringing a bunch of other bunnies to meet and play too,"

The friend that Seongmok had gotten Killian from had a bunch of other bunnies. Seongmok had wanted to bring them to meet Jawbreaker too and his friend had agreed.

"This fight was pretty lame, hehehe," Dongha nudged an unconscious student with his foot. "Seriously, is this all Yeo-Il's got?"

The door creaked open and Donald glanced at all of the unconscious students. "Kingsley," He ordered. "Guard the door. Don't let anyone in," 

"Got in," Kingsley turned around to the crowd of students outside the room. "Everyone, stand by,"

"Yay, it's Donald Na," Dongha stuck his tongue out. "I heard you ate up Manwol, but we wanted a piece of them too. You ruined our plan. I'm really upset, hehehe,"

"Mokha Duo," Donald walked over to them. "I heard that you guys came to Yeo-Il. They compare you guys to a spear and a shield. You must be Dongha Baek,"

"Wow, you know me?"

"I was actually getting bored," Donald smirked. "So this is perfect,"

It was a one-sided fight. Could it even be called a fight? It was more of a beatdown. Donald easily defeated both of them without sustaining any injuries himself. They did surprisingly hold out longer than Kingsley had expected. 

"You had a plan to take over Manwol, huh?" Donald asked. "The thing about plans is, until you make them happen, they're just delusions. Don't kid yourselves. You can't do shit. Reality is different from your imaginations," 'I had put my blood, sweat, and tears into creating the Union. I trained hard to become Number One,' He dropped Seongmok to the floor. "Hey, Dongha," When he received no immediate response, he became annoyed. "Answer me,"

"...Yes—"

Donald shoved his fingers into Dongha's mouth. "Don't ever show your teeth in front of me. You only smile or cry when I tell you to. And not just in Yeo-Il, but I'm the boss of Yeongdeungpo. Got it?"

"Ah...gagh...okay!"

Donald released Dongha and used a towel to wipe his hands. "I'm sure I made myself clear," He slid the door open but paused before leaving. "Tomorrow at ten. I want you both at Yeouinaru," He slammed the door shut.

"We can't beat him..." He told Seongmok. "There's just no way...Fuck...I thought he was really gonna kill us..."

The next morning, the Mokha Duo still intended to visit Dawn and Gray before heading to Yeouinaru. They brought the fluffle of bunnies over to Dawn and Gray's apartment. Dawn squealed and cuddled with the fluffy rabbits.

"Where's Jawbreaker?" Dongha inquired.

"Next door," Gray answered. "Donald should be bringing her over soon,"

"Wait, did you say Don—"

Gray stood up and answered the door. "Hey Donald,"

"Jawbreaker's ready for her playdate with her new friends," Donald entered the apartment while holding the continental bunny in his arms. His eyes landed on the Mokha Duo.

Dongha and Seongmok were both frozen in fear. Upon remembering Donald's words from yesterday, Dongha's smile disappeared.

"Why are you here?" Donald demanded.

"They're our friends," Gray spoke up. "They're also Dawn's adopted brothers,"

"More 'brothers'?" Donald was once again jealous. "How many 'brothers' does she have!?"

"A lot," Gray deadpanned. "Nearly everyone she meets adopts her. When they find out I'm her cousin, they also adopt me. Technically since you're Dawn's brother, you're their brother by extension. Uncle Orion has also adopted her brothers as his sons and even forced one of them to return to high school,"

"Dawn, am I not enough for you?" Donald asked his sister. "You don't need these other 'brothers.' I'm your only real brother,"

Dawn gently brought Donald to the kitchen so they could communicate freely without the others eavesdropping. "What do you mean?"

"The reason you're getting all these brothers..." Donald questioned. "Is it because I'm not good enough of a brother to you? Is it because you want me to hang out more with you? Spend more time with you and Dad?"

Dawn shook her head. "Donald, you are enough. You'll always be my favorite big brother,"

"Why do you keep getting more brothers then?" Donald's voice was quieter.

"They feel like family to me and treat me like a little sister. When we were younger..." She hesitated to bring the topic up. "Back when we lived with monsters...I always dreamed of having a big family with lots of family members who loved us. After Dad adopted us, I was satisfied with just the three of us. When a bunch of people started thinking of me as their younger sister, at first it weirded me out but now it makes me even happier. I consider them to be my family, but you don't have to consider them to be yours if you don't want to,"

"I'm jealous," Donald admitted. "For a long time, it was just me and you. Then it was me, you, and Dad. Stephen, his mom, Kingsley, and Kingsley's parents were added to the mix. Then we also met Aunt Sophia and Gray. Now, you're gaining more family members of your own. You're already in high school, though you've skipped a grade. Soon I'll be graduating and then off to college and then military service. Sometimes it feels like we're drifting apart,"

"Even if we drift apart, even if we eventually move away from each other, you'll always be my big brother,"

Dawn hugged Donald.

Kingsley had been waiting for Donald to return to their apartment for the last half hour. Donald was only supposed to drop Jawbreaker off to Dawn and Gray and then they'd head over to Yeouinaru. There were no screams or cries of anger or despair, so nothing bad had happened to him, Dawn, or Gray.

Sighing, Kingsley got up to head next door. "Donald, you told the Mokha Duo to meet us at Yeouinaru at ten—"

Gray was lying on the floor and Xander and a bunch of bunnies had piled onto him, preventing him from getting up. Dawn, Dongha, and Seongmok were sitting near Gray, petting the bunnies  and pitbull while laughing at Gray's predicament. Donald was standing a bit off to the side to take a bunch of photos to send to Orion and Sophia. He was still alert and ready to step in if the Mokha Duo became hostile.

Gray looked to Kingsley with a pleading expression. "Help...me..."

Donald still doesn't like the thought of the Mokha Duo being near his sister and cousin, but they make his sister happy.
