Chapter 40

"Gijoo, you can't come with me!" Wolf hissed. "I'm completely serious this time. My boss called me in,"

'Boss?' "Come on little bro," Gijoo insisted. "I won't go inside yours boss' office. I'll just wait for you in the hallway or something," 'Just what business is my little brother part of?'

"Fine," Wolf growled, knowing that Gijoo would still follow him even if he refused. "But don't do anything that'll get me into trouble,"

"I can be serious when necessary," Gijoo claimed. 'It's how I became a Cheongang executive. I not only have fighting prowess, but also managerial skills,'

The two brothers rode their motorcycles to Yeouinaru Office Building. They pulled into the parking lot just as Jimmy and Jack did so too. One of Jimmy's wrists had been sprained and he wore some bandages over one of his eyes. One of Jack's fingers had been broken.

"Back for round two?" Gijoo mocked.

"Knock it off, Gijoo," Wolf said. "They were probably called in too,"

As Gijoo was just about to follow Wolf to the stairs, his phone buzzed. He glanced down at the texts. "Sorry little bro, looks like I can't stick around. I have work to do,"

"Dad called you in?" Wolf questioned.

"No, my main job is in Mapo. When I'm not with you, Dad, or little sis, I'm usually over there," Gijoo replied before driving off to deal with Cheongang business.

The walk upstairs to Donald's office was silent except for the three's footsteps. Jimmy and Jack stayed a couple paces behind Wolf. The atmosphere was tense and it was obvious that Wolf was still pissed at the two and was doing his best to resist the urge to fight them again. The trio stopped in front of Donald's office and after a brief knock, Wolf and Jimmy entered while Jack remained in the hallway. 

"One of the rules of the Union is no fighting within the Union," Donald told them. "There is a thread trending on the Shuttle Patch claiming that the two of you fought. Is it true?"

"Yeah," Wolf confirmed. 

"The reason for Ganghak attacking Yoosun," Donald asked. "The forum said it was because Yoosun attacked your sister?"

"Yeah," Wolf repeated.

"Jimmy Bae," Donald addressed the other boy coldly. "Why did you attack her?"

"I-I didn't know she was Wolf's sister!" Jimmy stuttered, filled with fear. 

Donald walked over to Jimmy and slapped him. "That's not what I asked,"

"Phillip Kim!" Jimmy said. "H-He said to lure Ben Park out, I should go after her since she's one of his friends!"

Donald took out his phone and shifted through his gallery. He showed them a photo of Dawn. "This is Dawn Na, my little sister," 

'I'm fucked!' Jimmy paled once he saw the girl in the photo.

"She has a habit of getting adopted by random people," Donald returned his phone to his pocket. "Wolf, are you one of her brothers?"

Wolf was still in shock at the revelation and could only nod instead of verbally responding. This was enough for Donald and he told Wolf that he could go. He then cracked his knuckles and glared at Jimmy.

"You're going to pay for harming my little sister,"

'Donald Na is Dawn's older brother,' Wolf thought as he arrived at the parking lot where his bike had been parked. 'She has the same last name and the same blood red eyes as him. She has similar pale skin, but not as pale as Donald's. Still, I should've been able to tell that they were blood related siblings,'

Rather than getting onto his bike and driving off immediately, he lit a cigarette and took a drag. He needed to calm down and clear his mind. It wouldn't do good if he drove in his current mental state. He might end up crashing and that was not how he wanted to die.

'From how Dawn and Dad spoke about him, he really does care about them. And he's definitely pissed that Jimmy hurt Dawn. Will Donald force me to stay away from Dawn and Dad?' He bit down on the filter of his cigarette. 'Dad and Dawn are my family too. I won't let him take away my family without a fight!'

"Jack Kang," Donald called to the hallway. "Get this piece of shit out of my sight!"

Jack entered the office and was horrified by Jimmy's beaten up state. He quickly hoisted him onto his back and carried him out, shutting the door behind him.

"The...girl..." Jimmy managed to say through ragged breaths.

"What about her?" Jack asked.

"She's...Donald's sister..."

"What!?" Jack exclaimed. 'That explains why Wolf Keum got out unscathed and why Donald had punished Jimmy. But Wolf said she was his sister? And I'm sure Wolf and Donald aren't related,' He wanted to ask Jimmy for more info but getting him to a hospital was more important at the moment.

Jimmy has a few broken ribs, a broken wrist, at least a sprained ankle, and a broken finger. He's also missing a tooth now.

Normally I don't like doing Chapter Previews in the author's notes but...

"Hey Gray," Dawn signed. "Hypothetically,"

'Oh boy,' Gray knew that only troublesome situations came after that word.

"How would you react if I got a boyfriend?"

Gray set down his pencil and notebook. "I would pity the poor soul dating you,"
