kim nara groaned and grabbed her hair in frustration.
there were countless of reports she had to submit by monday.
she decided to take a break and left her house.

she opened up her news app to see the latest news but was disrupted by a tall male standing in front of her.
"what's a young lady like you doing out here at this hour?" he smirked.
she scowled, "it's none of your business, sim jaeyun."

sim jaeyun was the town's biggest playboy. he had been with almost every girl, except nara and a couple others.
she had never spoken to him before, but she recognised him as he was popular.

she had intrigued him since the first day he saw her, but he hadn't made a move on her so far, till this very moment.

he stepped closer to the irritated female and wrapped his arms around her waist.
she tried to push him away but his grip was too strong.

"why are you running?" he smirked.
"get off me, you asshole."
she could smell the alcohol on him.
jaeyun let out a cold chuckle and loosened his grip, not letting her fully go.
nara started to get nervous.

"what do you want from me?"
"what's your name, darling?"
"none of your business, let me go."
"why should I?"
"because..."
nara couldn't think of a reason.
"because I asked you to."
he chuckled, "I'll let you go if, you tell me your name."
nara groaned, "kim nara, now let me go, will you?"
he smiled and let go of her, "see you soon, kim nara."
he walked off as nara brushed his touch off her body.

she frowned, disgusted by the drunk male she had met earlier.
while walking to the park, she decided to open her news app again.
'girl goes missing', she read.
she found it rather strange as this was a rather small town and people knew each other quite well, but she simply shrugged it off, unable to think of a reason why someone would suddenly go missing.

reaching the park, her eyes still glued to her phone, she bumped into a mysterious looking male.
he was wearing all black with a cap and mask.
"I'm sorry," she muttered.
he took a glance at her and walked off.
'rude much?' she thought.

she sat down on the park bench and sighed, closing her eyes.
she inhaled the surrounding air and let out a deep sigh.

she just wanted a break, a break away from everything.
a relaxing and peaceful break, by herself.

nara had moved to this town a few years ago but she hadn't made many friends.
she had no interest in socialising with any of the townsfolk.

the only people she spoke to in the town were her co-workers and neighbours, apart from them, she did not speak to anyone else.

she looked at her phone, having received a message.
who on earth would text her at this hour?

he chuckled, "I consider you a friend, nara. you've been working as my secretary for so long, of course I should be nice to you and care for you. it's also basic human decency."

she smiled, "thank you, mr lee."
he laughed and reached his hand out, "let's get you home, it's already three."
