jay
have you thought of a reason?
apologies, love.
I didn't have time to think about you.
you need to stop with the pet names, darling.
says you, sweet.
if you don't have a reason... I'm still seeing him today.
why can't you just trust me?
because I have no reason to.
you're mysterious, I've never seen or heard about you before, at least I have about jaeyun.
I'll be at the park if you need me.
whether it's the same area as you or not, I'll be there.
if you need me, I'll be at the east side.
and why would you be there?
I have my own reasons.
they have nothing to do with you.
perhaps, are you meeting your girlfriend?
I don't have a girlfriend, by choice of course.
if I made myself more public I would have girls drooling over me and chasing me constantly.

nara stared at the message in disbelief.
how was he so confident?

jay
someone's confident.
I'll be at the park attending to my own business.
if you need me, just call me or come find me.
why would I need you?
in case something happens.
like?
nothing you have to worry about, just keep your distance from jaeyun.
he's not the safest person to be with.
and how do you know that?
I unfortunately, cannot tell you that information.
how do you know he's not safe to be with?
didn't you just ask me that?
oh, whatever.
why is he dangerous anyway?
might as well be able just avoid the whole danger situation if you tell me.
I don't want to...
traumatise you.
it's better for your mental health if you don't know and just stay away from him.
you're really starting to get on my nerves, jay.
but alright, goodbye now.
goodbye, nara.
goodbye.

nara grabbed her hair in frustration, not understanding why jay was so hesitant to tell her anything.

'traumatise me? traumatise me? are you serious, jay? why don't you just tell me? why are you hiding the truth from me? you're being so stubborn.'

"are you sure you're okay, nara?" heeseung asked, looking at the female, who's hair was now in a mess, concerned.

nara nodded, "I'm fine, hyung. it's not about work, it's about a drama," nara laughed, lying.

heeseung raised his eyebrow, "so now you're watching dramas? during and at work, as well?"

nara coughed, realising why she had said.
"I was just thinking about it, I'm sorry, hyung."
heeseung shook his head and laughed, "okay."

soon enough, it was six fifty.
"hyung?"
"yes, nara?"
"it's six fifty, may I be excused?"
heeseung nodded, "okay, be careful."
nara nodded and waved goodbye to her boss.
he did the same as she left the office.

'why is everyone telling me to be careful? maybe he's just asking me to be safe and not get injured or anything like that. yeah, stop overthinking, kim nara. everything's alright.'

she shrugged her thoughts away and went into the bathroom to adjust her hair and clothing.
she stared at her reflection in the mirror.
her short hair rested against her shoulders, her eyes seemed tired and her clothes were messy.
she sighed and begun getting ready.

"hello?" nara answered, picking up the instagram call she received from jaeyun.
"nara-ssi, are you ready? I'm here."
"ah, yeah. I'll be down in a minute, hold on."
"alright, take your time."
"see you."
"see you."

nara ended the call and went to the lobby.
she spotted jaeyun standing in the hallway, admiring the art pieces that hung on the walls.

his golden brown hair was now styled to the side.
his black leather jacket had been changed to a dark blue trench coat that rested on his shoulders, hanging loosely, perfectly, his white hoodie peeking out from the top.
his black jeans had been changed to black cargo trousers and his black white sneakers had been changed to black canvas shoes with a white bottom.

nara looked away as she felt a small blush creep to her face.
was she really falling for the playboy?

jaeyun turned around and spotted nara. he smiled to himself and approached her.
she didn't notice him approaching her, she was still lost in her thoughts.

her white blouse was thin and hung on her shoulders, tucked into her dark blue mini-skirt that almost reached her knees.
her black knitted cardigan rested on her arm.
jaeyun chuckled, thinking she looked cute.

"nara-ssi?"
nara looked up, her face still red, "oh, jaeyun-ssi."
he grinned, "are you ready?"
she nodded.
just as they were about to leave, heeseung came.
"nara-ah!"
she turned around, "heeseung hyung?"
jaeyun's grin faded away and his soft gaze became cold.

'lee heeseung. are you here to interfere in my business again? do you want to end up like park jongseong?' he thought, glaring at heeseung.

'sim jaeyun, you should stay away from nara. nara, don't fall for his tricks. beware of him. don't trust him or like him at all. he's your enemy.'

"did I forget something, hyung?" nara questioned the elder.

heeseung shook his head and stepped closer to nara, ruffling her hair, "I just wanted to see you before you left," he smiled.

nara chuckled softly and rearranged her messy hair.
"I'll get going now, then," she smiled
heeseung nodded, ignoring jaeyun's existence.

jaeyun held nara's hand and pulled her out of the building, still angry that he had seen heeseung.

his gaze was still cold and his teeth were gritted.

"jaeyun-ssi, are you okay?" nara asked, concerned.

he plastered on his charming smile and nodded, "I'm alright," letting loose of her arm.

"get it."

nara got into his car and he drove to the park.
she felt uncomfortable thinking about the situation earlier.
nara had felt the tension between the two males, but she refused to question it, thinking it would be too invasive.
especially, since jaeyun already said he didn't know heeeseung.
she shrugged it off and admired the view outside the car window, as jaeyun drove.

both of them sat in peaceful silence.
