nara woke up to the sun shining on her face.
her swollen eyelids did not wish to open.

jys24_
nara-ssi, did you sleep well?

she smiled at the message, 'cute.'

jys24_
yup, I did.
thank you for sending me home last night^^
it's no problem at all!
don't worry about it:)
thank you~
I had fun last night.
so did I.
we should do this more often.
depends on my schedule HAHA.
of course, HAHAHA.

'if there's a will, there's a way.' he smiled.

nara put her phone away and headed to her kitchen.
grabbing the coffee capsules, she placed them into the coffee machine and began preparing her morning coffee.

once the coffee was done, she sighed and took the hot cup by its handle and sat down at her table.

'no new messages from him, today. maybe he'll finally stop telling me to stay away from jaeyun-ssi.'

jay
can we meet?

'speak of the devil.'

jay
for what?
now?
I need to talk to you.
urgently, so yes. now.
at the park?
no.
at the back of the coffee shop.
the one where I bumped into you at?
yes.
now.
hurry.
geez, alright.

nara groaned, frustrated.
she put on a white sweater and long black baggy pants and grabbed her phone, leaving the house.

her hot coffee left untouched on the tabletop.

she sped walked  to the back of the cafe, not wanting jay to wait for her.

'shit, I forgot to bring my gloves,' nara cursed in her head.

"forget your gloves?"
nara turned around.
jay extended his gloved hands, holding an extra pair of gloves.
"why do you have an extra pair of gloves?" nara asked, suspecting the tall male.
jay rolled his eyes, "if you don't want it, forget it."
nara scowled and took the gloves from him, wearing them.
jay chuckled.

"why are you wearing a mask?" she questioned, curious.
jay looked around before grabbing her arm and pulling her to a nearby tree, where they couldn't be seen.
"are you trying to kill me or something?" she asked, raising her eyebrow.

jay pulled down his mask and huffed, "you ask a lot of questions, but no, I am not trying to kill you."
nara snickered at his response and nodded.

"why did you want to meet?" she questioned.
jay looked at her with a blank expression.

"you asked about jaeyun, right?"
nara nodded her head, wondering what the male in front of her would say next.

he sighed, "god, I want to tell you so bad."

nara raised her eyebrow, "what do you mean?"
jay scanned the place before saying, "nara. I would love to tell you, but I can't. because if I do, not only will you get hurt, but so will I."

"what?"
"please just... stay away from jaeyun, please?" he pleaded.
nara bit her bottom lip, "but... I don't... I don't really want to."

jay frowned, "love... don't tell me... you started to like him... you don't, right?"
nara avoided his stronge gaze and fiddled with her fingers.

jay gasped, "oh my god. you do like him..."
"what the fuck am I supposed to do then? his stupid charms work so fucking well," she cursed.
jay groaned, frustrated.

"can't you just fucking tell me? I don't care if I get hurt," she complained.
jay scowled, "if you want to get hurt, that's your problem! but, I on the other hand, wish to be safe."
nara groaned.

suddenly, jay grabbed nara's arm and put on his mask, dragging her away.

"what the fuck?" she asked.
"be quiet, just follow me," he replied.

the two of them ran to a building.

both huffing, jay pressed the lift button.

"where the fuck is this?" nara spat.
"oh, shut up. I'm trying to save you. I'm not going to do anything to you," jay rolled his eyes.

once the lift door opened, jay hurriedly pulled nara out and typed in the password to his apartment.

inside, he closed all the windows and curtains and made sure the doors were locked.

nara raised her eyebrow.

"do you really want to know?" he asked.
"yes, but first, why did you bring me here?" she questioned.

"because, if he saw us earlier, we both would be dead, thank you," he smiled, sarcastically.
nara rolled her eyes and sat down.

jay sat down next to her, "I had a girlfriend once."

"and?"

jay rolled his eyes, "let me finish."
nara groaned.

"she meant the world to me. her best friend was a guy name heeseung."

"heeseung?" nara's eyes widened.

jay looked at her confused, "you know him?"

she nodded, "he's my boss... and my friend."

jay cursed, "well fuck. I don't know if this is fate or whatever you call it but, basically she knew me, heeseung and of course, your pretty boy jaeyun."

nara rolled her eyes, "okay, and?"

"do you wanna know what happened to her?" he asked.

she nodded and shrugged, "sure, I guess."

jay sighed, "she's... gone."

nara's jaw dropped, "I'm so sorry to hear that," she muttered.

jay smiled softly, "it's... alright."

"she's gone because of him."

she raised her eyebrow at his comment.

"jaeyun. she's gone because of that psychopath, sim jaeyun."

"what do you mean?" nara asked.
