nara walked beside heeseung, repeating what he had said earlier, in her head.

"I consider you a friend, nara."

but he was her boss, why did he consider her his friend?
she simply could not understand the elder male.

"mr lee?"
"yes, nara?"
"why do you consider me your friend? you are my boss, after all."
heeseung stopped in his tracks and chuckled, "kim nara, do you realise how dumb you sound?"
she raised her eyebrow at him, confused.
"what do you mean?"
he smiled and ruffled her hair, "bosses are allowed to befriend their employees, so why not?"

she thought for a second, "oh."
he laughed.
nara hid her face, embarrassed.

"did I give you too much work?"
nara shook her head, "no, mr lee. the amount of work you have given me is alright."
"you can just call me heeseung, nara. we're not at work. you can also speak more informally to me as well," he sighed.
nara chuckled, "as you wish, heeseung."

"you should call me oppa."
"you said I could call you heeseung."
"but, I'm older than you."
"can I call you hyung instead?"
heeseung chuckled, "hyung?"
nara nodded, "I prefer it over the other."
he nodded, "alright then, you can call me hyung."
"okay, hyung."

"you've been looking stressed, nara. are you sure the work isn't too much?" heeseung asked, looking down at the shorter female.
she sighed, "it's alright, mr- heeseung hyung. I can finish it, don't worry about me."
"how many reports do you have left to do?"
she looked away and pressed her lips into a thin line.
"how many, nara? I asked you a question."
"about, seven."
"seven? you want to finish that by monday? I will not allow you to do that, send me four of them."
"but mr- heeseung hyung, I can do it. I am your secretary, it is my job."

heeseung chuckled, "as your boss, I'm asking you to give me four of them, okay?"
nara nodded, defeated.

"we're here," she said, pointing at her front door.
"I'll pick you up at two."
"two? I thought you said you would pick me up at seven-fifty?"
heeseung smiled, "you need the sleep, nara. we both know that."
"but mr lee-"
"mr lee?"
"heeseung hyung..."
he chuckled, "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
she nodded looking at the male.
they held eye contact for a second.

his dark brown orbs were shining in the moonlight. they looked as serene as a morning dew yet dreamy as a starry night.

her eyes were as pretty as lotus petals and mesmerising as a sunrise.
they had a hint of tiredness in them, but they were still as beautiful as ever.

"you have beautiful eyes," heeseung remarked.
"thank you, hyung," she muttered, looking down, trying to hide her blush.

"goodnight, nara."
"goodnight, heeseung hyung,"

nara entered her house, still blushing and thinking about heeseung's comment.
she walked happily to her bedroom, ready to take a rest.

it seems I have found you, kim nara.

she stared at her phone, confused.
who was this random guy?
she clicked on his profile.

it was sim jaeyun.
the town's playboy.

I wanted to apologise for earlier.
I was drunk.
thank you for apologising.
are you free sometime?
I know you're a player, sim jaeyun.
it seems I have been exposed.
but I promise you, I'm not going to play you.
you particularly, intrigue me.
why?
I don't know
but if you're free sometime, do let me know.
I would love to have a drink with you.
perhaps.

'perhaps? what am I even saying?
why am I even considering having a drink with him?' she thought.
she shrugged it off and went to sleep.

nara woke up the next morning, her head throbbing, slightly.
she washed her face and took a shower, getting ready to get a cup of coffee at the nearby cafe.

she sighed as she stepped into the shower, allowing the warm water to pour over her sore body.
she rested her head on the wall, closing her eyes.

after her shower she dried her hair and got ready to step out of her house.

she walked to the cafe, inhaling the fresh air while dragging her feet against the concrete floor.
she walked into the cafe, smiling at the aroma of the freshly made coffee.

"hi, may I take your order?" the cashier asked.
"one iced cafe latte, please," nara replied, smiling.
"that will be six dollars and forty cents."
"what is your name?"
"nara."
the cashier nodded and nara handed him the money
she then walked over to an empty seat, to sit down.
