The sound of breaks squeaking wakes me. I slowly open my eyes and rub them trying not to smudge my mascara. I yawn and stretch as day breaks littering the sky with light.

I'm in desperate need of some coffee.

I grab my suitcase and look around expecting to meet eyes with the strange man but his seat is empty. A slight frown plays on my face.

After sitting for a while the announcer came on and told everyone that we are now letting people come off the train. I stand and stretch, more happy to have slept well enough and finally be out of this train.

People start leaving row by row and my curiosity takes over. Where is he? His seat is still left unattended and his belongings seem to be gone as well. How could he have left when we just stopped a few minutes ago?

I make my way out of my seat and walk slowly out to the exit doors, with one last look I turn back and am left with only a bunch of unfamiliar faces as I step out the train. The sharp cold winds of December cutt through my skin. I grab onto myself and curse for not dressing warmer. I scan my surroundings and spot a bathroom, I once again do my business and while walking out my senses catch the strong scent of coffee.

My stomach rumbles so I follow my nose to the small cafe, walking inside I grab a kolache and a caramel hot coffee. I sit down at a small two person table and eat my warm kolache. The cheese oozes out and I smile, moaning internally.

Once I finish my snack and coffee I call a cab and wait inside for it. It eventually pulls up and I run outside saying hi to the driver as the old man opens the trunk and puts my suitcase inside and slams the trunk. I shiver inside and he takes notice by cranking up the heat and smiling at me from the rear view mirror.

"Where to?" He asks politely.

I found a place while on the train in Baltimore, so I gave him the address and it isn't a long drive there.

About half an hour later we arrive and I take my head out of my phone and smile at the site.

"Thank you!" I yell as I hop out of the car and open the trunk as he helps me grab my suitcase.

"Oh here, thank you for the ride!" I hand him some money as he nods with a friendly smile.

I walk quickly to the entrance of the hotel with my suitcase strolling behind me. This place was expensive but worth it, it's absolutely stunning. Marbled flooring and columned poles reaching to the tall ceiling. I walk slower taking in my surroundings, I then hear aggravated steps behind me and make the initiative to speed up.

I get to the front desk and smile as I lay my hands on the counter, a pretty lady with short blonde hair at the front welcomes me. I get my room key and I go up to the eighth floor and make it to my room "864."

The room is beautiful as well, a light carpet overtakes the floor and a huge kind size bed sits in front of a large flat screen TV. I set my stuff down and unpack my suitcase putting my clothes in drawers and hanging the nice shirts up in the spacious closet. I put my makeup bag and toiletries on the large marbled bathroom counter and stare at my reflection in the huge ring light mirror. I cringe at myself and go to turn on the water of the shower, cranking it all the way to the left getting it burning hot.

I smile as fog starts to collect on the mirror and strip my clothes. The shower is big too with little sets of shampoos and conditioners set out. I test the water turn it slightly right letting it cool a bit before jumping in and relaxing under the heat. The steam melts my body as droplets fall down and I moan at the sensation. I take my time and slowly wet my hair and then apply my shampoo that smells of a soup bar I huff slightly. This has been the only disappointment so far. But with what I paid for the room I expected way worse. The room itself is pretty nice.

Once I rinse that out I let my conditioner sit and rinse my body with the no fragrance body wash bar, that every hotel seems to have. Once I wash my body and conditioner out of my hair I grab a towel draped on a hook to my right and wrap it around me as I step out.

Once I dry myself I pick out an outfit in my head and put it on. Going with white jeans and light brown high kneed boots and a pink/nudish sweater. Letting my hair towel dry while I start on my makeup.

I apply foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, highlighter and mascara with chapstick, and smile at myself feeling better. I take out my towel and try to let it air dry, leaving big wavy curls roll down my back.

Once my hair is dry enough I grab my purse and walk out of my room to the elevator. I hit the ground floor and make it to the lobby, and then out the building. The freezing winds hit me again making my body immediately tense up. I plan to walk around even though it's freezing and just try to do some exploring for now.

I walk around and notice a lot of shops and restaurants are gathered around. Lights filling the streets getting ready for Christmas. A warm sensation fills my body and I genuinely smile at the thought of this becoming my home. I make my way into a few shops and limit my spending. I end up only getting a gray knitted dress and find some black leather pants.

Lunch time soon comes around and I come past an Italian restaurant and pop inside. A hostess greets me and I start to warm up in the heated restaurant, feeling much better. Once I sit in a small booth I get water to drink and wait on my order to be taken.

My waitress stands in front of me, she has long auburn hair and pretty dark green eyes. Dark eye makeup and a nose piercing. She smiles at me and she seems so nice I can't help but smile back. I place my order deciding on tortellini with vodka sauce, my favorite pasta.

While waiting on my dinner I occupy my time in eating the bread and butter which is so addicting. I have to force myself to stop eating it to leave room for my meal. I scroll through my phone trying to figure out my activities for tomorrow. I'm thinking of hitting another town.

I soon get my food and once again indulge myself feeling very content. I finish rather quickly but I couldn't eat it all so I decide on getting a togo box, saving the rest for dinner.

I pay the check and make my way back to my hotel room. My feet are starting to hurt from my boots and all this walking around, I can't wait to get to the hotel to take a nap.

I finally reach the hotel and excitement fills me. I make my way to my room, lock the door and strip to my panties and crawl in the bed pulling back the covers and sinking in. The soft feel of the hotel fabric and pillows makes me so happy, and I soon drift off to a deep sleep.

I wake up and look at my phone and am shocked to see that I slept so long. It's eight o clock and I am once again hungry so I grab my left over pasta and heat it up in the small microwave on the counter above the mini fridge. I flip on a movie and began to eat the rest of my meal.

Once I finished my dinner I went to the bathroom to take off my makeup and get ready for bed. I sat on my phone for a few hours and finally planned out my events for tomorrow. I plan on going to the Assateague state park which is on an island and looks beautiful. It's about a two and a half hour drive but it's worth it and I have nothing better to do.

Thoughts of packing a picnic crosses my mind and the excitement of taking lots of photos! But before I can sleep a sadness consumes my thoughts of not seeing the hazel eyed man once more. I don't know why my mind drifted over to him or why it almost makes me sad, but weirdly the feelings occupy me and I groan in annoyance as I flip over and stuff my pillow over my head before falling asleep.
