Kai's POV:

We were heading into a mission to try and stop some sort of secret dealing in an alley-way in the far south side of Ninjago. I was ready though, even though there was tension between me and the rest of the team.

I don't really know how it happened at first, but one thing led to another. Lloyd and Cole are in some sort of feud with each-other, I am unsure why though. They keep glaring at one-another and fight over the smallest things now. Jay and me are in a bit of a feud as well, I know the reason to that though. I was in a bad mood a few days ago, and lashed out at Nya. Pretty badly. Jay is holding a grudge against me for it, and Nya won't talk to me now. She just hangs around Jay, not even looking nor responding to me, she's full-on ignoring me. The only person that is neutrally at peace is Zane, he tends to not have any feuds with any of the other teammates. Pixal was at Borg Industries more often since she was helping to build the latest invention, so she wasn't involved in the mix.  As for Sensei Wu and Misako, they were out on a mission themselves far off from Ninjago.

We had finally gotten to the area, and I could already hear loud voices. We quietly got off of our elemental dragons and looked around the corner of the alley-way. There were two groups of people. One that had 3 people in lab suits, and another with several people that looked like punks.

.....

-"You sure this is it?"

--"Yea, we're sure. We have worked on it for months in the lab."

-"Alright, here's your end of the bargain."

.....

With that, the two groups exchanges two bags, that was our time to jump in. We all jumped from around the corner and charged into battle. Me, Cole, and Lloyd took on the 3 men in the lab suits while Zane, Jay, and Nya took on the other group of seven punks.

There were 3 people in the group I was attacking, one with the bag, another with a bunch of pockets with a hood on, and another that looked large and tough. Of course this one was just a security measure with a coat, since this guy would probably break any glass vial he held. I took on the guy in the hood, Cole took on the tougher one, and Lloyd took on the one with the exchanged bag. As we were fighting, I had the upper hand on my person.

I was swinging my sword above my head, to the side, to the other, jumping over by paired enemy, I was doing awesome! I felt alive in this battle, even though my enemy wasn't as strong as me. I created fire underneath his feet, and also surrounded him in fire once or twice so he couldn't go anywhere. He somehow was able to jump over my flames without being burnt or impacted by the heat. Then I was drawing him into a corner, but as I did Cole and Lloyd began fighting again mid-battle.

"Back off greenie! Get out of my fighting space!"

"Well if you were strong enough to take your guy out quicker than we wouldn't be having this problem rock-head!"

The two then lost focus and their enemies got the upper hand. They were both tossed against the brick wall behind them.

"Cole! Lloyd!", but as my attention was distracted to my teammates, I was pinned onto the ground. "Ugh! Get off!", and with that, I had reversed the attack onto my enemy I was facing. I had him pinned to the ground now, but then a sinister grin grew on his shadowed face from underneath his hood. He had pulled out a syringe full of some sort of liquid, then stuck it into my arm that was closest to him. It felt like a pinch, but then I was thrown off by Nya being thrown at me.

There was a loud thud as my body hit the dumpster to my left, and then another thud as Nya flew onto me, causing me to hit my head onto the metal dumpster this time. Nya got up, then without a word or even acknowledging me, she ran back to the battle with Zane and Jay. God, I hated her sometimes. When I got up, I noticed my guy getting away. I then launched my fire at him, but him and the rest of the two groups disappeared. Due to that, my fire went right through the smoke that was created from their disappearances, and hit Nya right in the back.

"Nya! I'm so sorry! It was an accident, I went for the guy then he-"

"Shut up Kai! You threw it at Nya since she was thrown onto you and didn't apologize! Your so selfish!" Jay said as he helped Nya up, who was crying from the pain due to the newly inflicted burn marks.

"T-That's not it..." I said as I started to shake, "I never meant to hurt her..."...then I just felt my body go numb. My vision went black and I could feel as my body hit the cold cement ground that was underneath my feet.

Cole's POV:

I watched as Jay yelled at Kai, but before I could say something Kai did. He was stuttering, which was highly unusual of him. He normally made smart-remarks and retorts, and held confidence within his voice. He never stuttered, or talked quietly unless the mission called for us to be silent. Just then he began to shake, shortly after he collapsed and passed out. We were all shocked.

"Kai!" Me, Lloyd, and Zane shouted. Jay didn't seem to care, he just cared about Nya who was still crying in agony and pain. Zane directed me to pick up Kai and carry him back to the bounty's Med-bay since I was the strongest of the bunch, and Zane began to treat Nya on the spot. Me and Lloyd went ahead to the bounty as I carried Kai bridal-style. Lloyd would normally have taken the stolen goods to the police department, but the exchanged bags had also disappeared with the groups. I layed Kai down in the Med-bay medical bed, and began to take off the armor that was on his gi. After the armor was off, I took his armor and swords and put them in a box in the opposite side of the room. When I went back, I covered Kai up and attached him to the vitals. Zane showed me how to do this when Jay was hurt in a previous battle, so I knew how to set up people in the Med-bay.

As I walked out, Lloyd was standing in the hallway. Arms crossed and leaning on the wall. "We need to talk Cole."

"Sure Lloyd, what is it?" I said a bit calmly. I was sick and tired of fighting with Lloyd. It was obvious that we both liked Kai, that is the only reason we were fighting. Which was ridiculous if you asked me.

"I know you like Kai, and I do too, but I want to end this bickering between us. I just don't understand how to cooperate with you when we both like the same person." Lloyd said as he looked at me sternly.

"Alright, then what are you thinking about so that we can stop this bickering? It's getting pretty old real quick." I said as I crossed my arms.

"We just both confront Kai, let him choose. If he chooses neither of us than that is that, but if he does choose one of us, we just have to let it go and move on. Either way, we stop fighting." Lloyd said as he made eye contact with me.

I have to admit, it wasn't a bad idea, but I wasn't so fond of telling Kai myself. So we agreed to write letters, then leave them near Kai's infirmary bed or hidden underneath the covers of his bunk bed side-by-side for him to read then decide. Of course, with our names on it and whatever we wanted to put onto the letter.

We both agreed, then just also agreed to stop arguing at that point anyways. Which I found pretty pointless, since we should've just settled it this way earlier instead of being a bunch of jerks to each-other about it.

Just then, the others returned back.
