CHAPTER SIX

Finally reaching Itachi's apartment he turns to face [name].
"Thanks for walking me home, although I really think it should be the other way around." He thanks her sheepishly.
"Nah, it's not a problem. I'll be visiting a friend of mine so I'm not technically going home." She tells him.
"Your friend?" Itachi questions.
"Yeah, she's an Arts and Crafts teacher at Konoha Primary School." She tells him while thinking about her purple-haired friend.
"I see, well, I had fun." He smiles.
"Yeah, me too, 'ttebane! Would you like to do this again?" She asks.
"Would you like to give me your number?" Itachi questions.
Smooth.
Real smooth, Itachi.
"Oh- Uhh, well I don't have a phone..." She shyly replies. Itachi stares at her, dumbfounded.
"Wow, and I was just starting to think you weren't as weird as I thought you were." He laughs.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" She puff out her cheeks and blows a few strands of hair that had fallen on her face.
'Cute.' Itachi thought.
"Well, I mean, I do have a phone, it's just -- in the cupboard 'ttebane." She confesses while not making eye contact.
Itachi looks at her as of she's grown two heads. "What? Say something!" she yells embarresd.
"Um...why? In the cupboard, I mean, why is your phone in the cupboard? Were you grounded?" He jokes.
"No." She huffs. "I put it there. I just needed a break, 'ttebane!! It helped me appreciate the small things in life! Things I never noticed due to the amount of time I spent on a small device." She explains.
"I see...not bad." He mutters. "But what if your family wants to contact you?" he questions.
"Why would they? I live with them!" she proudly states. "You still live with your parents?" Itachi asks her.
"Yeah...? What is so wrong with that? I'm only 22 'ttebane!" She exclaims. "You're only two years younger than me." He says, remembering how he moved out when he turned 20.
"Hmph! So what? I just love living with my parents. You only live once 'ttebane! You never know when one of us will be gone, so I want to make as many memories as I can with my family!" she smiles.
"That's...really nice." Itachi looks at her, admiring her features.
"Yeah! My brother agrees with me too, 'ttebane!" She chuckles at the memory of her hyperactive brother. Itachi perks up after hearing her say this.
"You have a brother?" he asks her with a cute expression on his face, which [name] can't help but blush at.
