CHAPTER EIGHT

He felt better after last night. After talking to his mom he realized how much he missed being home, despite that he couldn't face them. But, he was glad he called, he will visit them soon enough.
Baby steps, right?
After walking into the book store, the first thing he did was look for Jiraya. He was surprised how Jiraya didn't come shouting in joy the first thing he stepped into the store.
After looking through the entire store, he couldn't find him, which was confusing since you can't really hide in this store. He was sure he locked up last night, and Jiraya would never leave the store unattended.
Did something happen?
Itachi grew slightly worried. Just when he was gonna give a call to his senior, he caught a glimpse of white on the floor near the window. Realizing it was Jiraya, he quickly made his way towards him with a very concerned look.
That was until he realized his boss's actions.
What.
The.
Actual.
Heck.
There Jiraya was, with a blush on his face, apparently looking at a woman with light blonde hair across the street.
He was staring at her...
Like a pervert.
"JIRAYA!" Itachi shouts.
"WHAT?!" Jiraya jumps, then turns around and looks at Itachi with a guilty face.
"What are you doing?" Itachi asks monotonously.
"Research..." Jiraya mutters.
"Jiraya-san..." Itachi sighs. "I'll be organizing the sci-fi section." he walks away. Jiraya is glad, thinking he won't be questioned.
Oh, how wrong he was.

"So, who was that?" Itachi's voice lingers in the air. Jiraya looks at him slightly confused before realizing what he meant. Blushing slightly, he waves his arms around in denial.
