I groggily opened my eyes. H-huh? Where was I? Wasn't I with Eric? There was a ceiling... wait, a ceiling!? Wasn't I just on a date with Eric in an alley?
I hurriedly sat up and gasped. My stomach... was it okay? I felt around nervously, but nothing was out of the ordinary, except... well, maybe one tiny little thing. Had my chest shrunk? I seemed rather flat... which was weird since I had never been flat.
And, Eric. What had happened with him? I clearly wasn't with him. Also, the end felt very blurry. Was my whole meeting with Eric a dream? I sighed. Maybe it had been a delusion by me. That was quite possible.
I crawled out of bed and went to the living room, where the TV was and turned it on to the news.
"Breaking NEWS! A girl's corpse has been found behind Laurel Cafe! The police identified her to be a 16 year old girl named Lilly Smith who had attended East Heights High School. She was killed with a knife to the abdomen..." The reporter continued.
I sat there in shock. There was absolutely no way that I was dead. I was Lilly Smith! I attended East Heights High School! Yet here I was, absolutely still alive. What was going on?
Then a picture of my body, clearly lifeless, was shown on the screen. I shook, and shakily walked over to the bathroom. In the mirror, who I saw was not myself, but a handsome boy with short brown hair and green eyes. It wasn't me!
I screamed at the top of my lungs. The voice wasn't even mine! Was I truly dead? Hallucinating? Dreaming? I pinched myself in an attempt to wake up. I didn't wake up, instead I ended up making myself bleed.
This wasn't my body. My body was lifeless, and to top it off, had a knife stuck in it. Then why was I in this body? Wasn't I supposed to be dead?
A sharp réalisation hit me. That time in the alley had actually happened... Eric had actually killed me. He killed me!!!!!!!!
"No, no, no, nononononononon!!!!" I screamed. "THIS CANNOT BE TRUE! I CAN'T BE DEAD!"
I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off, breaking everything in my way, throwing things, and having an epic meltdown. Shattered glass lay everywhere on the floor, clothes were ripped, and everything else was either shredded, broken or strewn around every whichaway.
Eric had tricked me! He murdered me! I remembered his laughter, his feelings of pleasure because I was suffering. He even had another girl! The nerve! To treat me like trash and then do as he wished with me! He deserves to rot in hell!
I had to go find him! I would take my sweet time inflicting the same pain to him that he had to me. It was time to give him a taste of his own medicine.
