I HAD NEVER been the biggest fan on the Christmas tradition, but meeting Y/N had changed that. In fact, Y/N has changed a lot of things.

Though, in all honesty, Y/N had changed for me too, even though she'd promised herself to never change for anyone. She knew she'd lied to herself once she made the promise. But aren't promised made to be broken?

Christmas morning came in a flash, even though Christmas Eve had definitely taken its time to come around. I woke up to the sun, cliché as it was, a ray blinding my closed eyes. I rolled over to slung an arm around Y/N's waist, but my girlfriend wasn't where she'd been last night.

I opened her eyes and rubbed them clean of sleep, now fully awake thanks to the absence beside me. After slipping on an outfit of clean, classic 'Natasha clothes', as Y/N called them, I rushed out of the bedroom and down the stairs, purposely bypassing the lift.

Y/N sat comfortably at the kitchen countertop, phone in one hand, cup of coffee in the other. I strolled over and placed a long lingering kiss on my girlfriend's temple, and (finally) slung my arms around her shoulders.

"I missed you this morning." I said to Y/N quietly as I sat down beside her. "I was expecting at least a good morning kiss."

"Are you sure that's all you were expecting?" Y/N replied, a confident brow raised, lips curled into a teasing smirk.

"Hey! As it's our first Christmas properly together, I expected that we started off on the right foot." I said quickly in response.

Y/N sipped at her coffee. "Oh well, if that is all. I made you some coffee." She said, smiling at the mug left by the sink.

"Right."

Y/N rolled her eyes. "Did you want a biscuit with it too?"

"How about just a kiss?"

Y/N grinned. "Sure."

She leaned forward so far that I could feel her breath on my lips, so far that I could tell she was teasing me. Without further hesitation, I intertwined my hand with her hair and pulled her towards me, filling in the gap she'd left between us. Her lips fitted so perfectly into mine that I think we both melted a little.

"Alright, lovebirds. I really don't think we need to see you two kissing this morning." Tony said, breaking Y/N and I apart. I chuckled and knew that there was more where that came from.

Y/N seemed to blush and diverted her attention away from Tony. "Nat, drink your coffee before it goes cold."

"Yes, Mum." I teased.
