'I know that he would always stay by my side. He promised me that, after all.'
"Mhm", George mumbled and tried to open his eyes, but failed, because his eyelids were heavier than expected.
He titled his head left and right a bit, being confused about everything right now.
His head had felt like bumping and there was a slight pain at the back of it.
After a second try, he managed to open his eyes, but had to get used to the natural light which was shining on him.
His vision unblurried slowly, but he had still no clue where he even was and how much time had passed since he fell.
There was just one thing sure: It wasn't Sapnap lap anymore, which he was laying on.
"Wha-", he mumbled and looked around slowly, realizing that he's currently lying on a couch.
After a few failed attempts, he got his full body pushed up and looked around a bit, trying to figure out where he was.
"Ah", he nodded slowly, being tired and having a slight headache meanwhile.
He was at home, to be exact, he was on their couch.
At least something positive.
Wait, why is he here?
He tried to remember completely what happended yesterday and as he did, his expression changed from confused to sad in just a second.
"I ruined our date...", the brunette sighed sadly and rubbed his eyes a little, feeling guilty about what had happened.
He could have prevented that, after all.
George was getting up and didn't feel dizzy at all, unlike he expected to feel.
He was still pretty tired, but besides the headache, everything was okay right now.
"Dream?", he walked around and wanted to apologize to the other, for what had happend some time ago.
'Wait, how much time did actually pass?', he asked himself and walked up to the clock on the wall.
It revealed, that several hours had passed, after the firework had started.
It was in the middle of the night, or you could also say very early in the morning.
George decided to drink a glass of water and walked up to their kitchen.
Dream was probably asleep in their bed, so he didn't want to wake him up at all, that's why he was trying to make no sounds at all.
'I'll drink something and then I' ll cuddle him, as an apology. Really tight... I hope he isn't worried', George felt still guilty, but promised himself to apologize with a few gestures soon.
As he entered the kitchen, he saw a person standing in front if the fridge, looking inside of it.
"Uhm?", George spoke in confusion.
"Oh, whoops", the brunette small boy turned around and closed the fridge fastly.
"I didn't hear you waking up", Sapnap said and added something, "are you feeling alright?".
"Yeah, I'm feeling good, just a slight headache. What are you doing here?", he asked back, after he had answered Nicks question.
"Uh", he scratched the back of his head shortly, "ah, yes. Dream asked me to, uh, watch you".
"Okay? But Dream's here, right?", George asked and walked past the other boy, getting a glass and filling it with water.
"No, not yet", he answered fastly and watched every move George made.
"And why isn't he here? It's almost two in the-", George asked with a slight smile on his face out of confusion, but the other one interrupted him.
"Man, I don't have a clue! Do I look like someone who knows every stupid thing about this man?", Sapnap raised his voice angrily.
George flinched slightly by this sudden mood change.
He had never seen Sapnap being pissed of like that before, not in a serious way.
"Okay...", George put the glass down, after he had taken a few sips and started to walk into the direction of Dreams and his bedroom.
A short moment after, Sapnap stood under the doorframe and said something after him.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to sound rude", the smaller one said and George could hear that, but decided to ignore it.
Maybe he was drunk or something like that, but even if he wasn't, he doesn't want to start a fight or something like that, so he just decided to stay quiet.
He changed his clothes fastly and got to bed right after, feeling great under the cozy blanket.
There was just one thing missing: Dream.
Well, he will come back soon, from wherever he was right now, at least that's what George said to himself.
George turned around again, the light next to his bed was shining slightly and in a warm tone, but even though it was so cozy, he just couldn't sleep.
Sometimes he noticed someone checking up on him, but he pretended to sleep.
As he was really bored, he decided to write something short in his notebook, so he could at least spend some time wisely before just laying in bed doing absolutely nothing.
"I completely destroyed our 'date' yesterday... Sadly.
It was amazing, everything, but then I blacked out, I don't even know why. But what I know for sure is, that I destroyed an amazing moment.
Dream looked so happy...
I hope he will forgive me for being stupid and destroying his great day...", he wrote and actually got tired from the words he had been writing down a moment ago.
George yawned and was happy to be more tired than before.
His eyes were almost falling closed every few seconds, which was something he had wanted to reach minutes before.
He put his notebook back again and cuddled himself under the cozy blanket again.
Finally, he can get some sleep.
Meanwhile George fell asleep in his warm bed, Sapnap was sleeping on the couch where George was blacked out before.
He had been checking on George every now and then, before finally getting some sleep to.
The light brown haired boy wanted to make sure he's okay again after all, especially after what had happened under the sky of fireworks a few hours ago.
