ONE MONTH LATER
Let me catch you guys up, so Elijah is now 1 month old. Crazy huh?

Well things has been hectic, but we're adjusting.

The doctor finally says that Brendon can come home today at last, but he still isn't awake yet and it's been a month since the incident.

So as Sarah's in charge of the baby. I'm in charge of getting Brendon's room set up downstairs where he'll be staying until he gains consciousness.

We got him one of those bed that can recline, so that was fun setting up. So while Pete is picking up Brendon. I rush around the house trying to clean it up and set up his room.

I practically have everything that's needed in here.

About 20 minutes later, the door bell rings. I look over the peep hole and see Brendon in the wheelchair still unconscious and Pete pushing him.

I open the door and help them in. I help Pete put Brendon onto the new bed. I adjust Brendon's body so it won't be too uncomfortable and lay a blanket over him to keep him warm.

"Welcome home dad" I tell him giving him a hug.

"Did the doctor say how long he'll be finally conscious?" I ask Pete.

"Not really he said it could be weeks to months, they don't really know but soon since he's improving so well." Pete says.

"Also happy birthday Emmy" Pete says hugging me.

"Thank you" I say, hugging him back.

It feels weird to be here again, but without Brendon awake. But he'll come through eventually.

ANOTHER MONTH PAST
"I really wish you were here. Please wake up soon." I hear Sarah says pecking Brendon on the cheek.

I lay on the couch, watching Elijah play with his toys.

*Next morning*
BRENDON POV

Ahh how nice it feels to be home at last. But ughh I'm back down here again.

I really am just trying to wake up. Everyday, ever since I've been home, I've been improving but I just need to wake up now.

"Wake up body, wake up" I say poking my face.

Ughh one last poke "wake up!" I shout.

Suddenly I open my eyes. I squint them at first because it was hard to see, but it feels very weird.

I hear footsteps returning back into the room.  Then I open my eyes again. Woahh I did not just do what I've been trying to do. Geez it's cold in here. Then I heard something drop on the ground. I move my eyes towards them and then back up to the person.

"Hey Emmy? Is everything okay in there?" I hear Sarah ask.

"Um yea" she says. She bends over to pick up whatever she dropped and she comes closer to me. She rubs her eyes and looks at me again.

"Dad? Are you okay? Can you remember?" She questions me and I nod my head.

"Oh my gosh!! You're finally awake, I miss you so much" Emmy shouts, as she comes over and hugs me.

"Please, don't scare us like that again" she begs me and I shrug my shoulder.

"Emmy, is everything alright- Gosh Brendon you're awake?!" Sarah shouts as she runs over to me. She gives me a big hug and kisses me all over my face.

"Morning sunshine" Emmy says, as she puts a straw in my mouth. Then I hear a machine whirring and I take a look around and feel my bed lifting up, and Emmy helping me take the oxygen tube off my face.
