EMMY POV
All I can remember was talking to Awsten and Conan and next thing you know I was in the pool and my neck was throbbing.

I awoke to everyone surrounding me and choking. All I remember was that I was exhausted so I did what my body needed. Which was sleep.

I woke up the next morning to my neck throbbing once again. I tried to push it aside and ignore it but the pain was unbearable.

As I wake up. I yawn and that hurts even more. I try stretching out my arms but nothing.

Awsten comes over to me and he sees that I'm laying in my bed awake.

"Morning sunshine. How are you feeling?" Awsten asks me. He kisses my forehead and I look at him with a blank stare.

"My neck hurts and um I can't feel anything below my neck" I try to say.

"Oh umm maybe you sprained it. Here let's put on your neck brace and let's get you downstairs for breakfast and let your parents know and see how they wanna go about it" Awsten reassures me.

He gives me a kiss on the forehead and picks me up and hold me over the toilet so that I can pee. Then he picks me up once again and carries me downstairs and sets me in a dinning chair.

Awsten then proceeds to feeding me first before he eats his food.

"Morning darling" Brendon says coming into the kitchen and kisses my head.

"Are you feeling better?" He asks me in a concern look. I try to shake my head but instead winces in pain.

"Em are you okay where does it hurt?" He asks me. As he kneels down near my knees.

"My neck... about that I can't feel anything below it" I tell him and he has his eyes wide open now.

"Shit... Umm Awsten carry her into the car. We're going to the hospital. I'm gonna go change and tell Sarah where we are going" Brendon says dashing off to somewhere.

BRENDON POV

"Sarah I'm taking Emmy to the hospital" I shout as I put on my shoes.

"Wait why?" She asks me.

"She can't feel anything below her neck and her neck hurts" I tell her.

"Oh shit. I hope she feels better just keep me updated. Just call me when she's roomed and I'll go over there to bring you guys lunch and drop Elijah off at Kala's house for the meantime" Sarah says.

I go over to her and kiss her on the forehead. I grab my wallet. My phone and keys and run down the stairs and meet Awsten and Em in the car.

Eventually we made it to the hospital. They take Emmy in on a stretcher to do an MRI and an x-ray on her while I fill out the paperwork.

About an hour later. They finally bring Emmy out and I follow her to her room they have put her in.

"Are you her father?" The nurse asks me. I nod my head.

"Okay Dr.Hemp will be here shortly to discuss matters with you okay sir" The nurse tells me. I nod my head once again.

"So she's actually resting right now. We gave her some strong pain meds to help relieve her pain. She'll wake up eventually but she may be loopy" The nurse informs us. Then she walks away.

I sit there next to Emmy bedside. "When will all this be over baby girl?" I ask kissing her hand.

About 20minutes later, Emmy starts to stir awake.
"Hello sweetie" I say rubbing her forehead.

"How are you feeling?" I ask her. "I'm feeling okay" she says. The doctor finally comes in.

"Hello Brendon, hello Emmy. I've seen you have not been taking it slow like I said a few months ago huh." Dr. Hemp says.

"Ehh maybe" Awsten mumbles.

"So let's see what we have here." He says as he sits down at the computer and pulls up Emmy charts.

"Alright so everything looks fine, except the x-ray we just got on your neck." He says.

"So I would say you have an acute fracture and given your medical history. Your body decided to have I hope temporarily paralysis to not feel the pain throughout your body." The doctor explains to us.

"Oh great" I say. "Until you start feeling sensation, I want you to be on bed rest and you may use a electrical wheelchair to help you move around" the doctor tells Emmy.

He puts in a request for the new wheelchair and walks off. He wants Emmy to stay over night to monitor her, but after that she may go home.
