" KEL!"
" KEL!!"

He didn't respond to Aubrey's yells and instead continued towards his house. She was about to run and catch up with him when Basil stopped her. " Aubrey, no. I haven't seen him like this for a while. Just let him be." She opened her mouth to respond, and then shut it, slumping down and letting out an exhausted sigh.
" You should probably get back home anyway, Sunny." She ruffled his hair again. Five times. But, she was correct. He was incredibly worn out after that and felt like he was about to collapse where he stood. Unsurprising, since he'd barely done anything for 4 years. They began to walk, Sunny listening to their conversation and occasionally chiming in. The cool breeze blew through the now dark streets, and a crescent moon watched cooly over the group.

" Well, here's your house Sunny. We'll see you tomorrow. Or well," Aubrey smirked, " Kel will smash your door in until you appear." A small smile, barely visible, showed on Sunny's face. He waved them both goodbye and entered his house, closing the door. As he did so he saw Basil's eyes widen slightly.

The door slammed shut, and the darkness of his house enveloped him with a resounding thud.

All around him were pools of spiders, an outlined door, and a strange blob the only visible things. He crept into the kitchen and grabbed a knife from the counter, slashing through cobwebs until he could finally climb up the stairs to his room. They were a lot longer than he remembered, a lot scarier too. But he was brave. He could do this. Finally, he could see the top. A figure stood there. She had long, flowing black hair and a white dress. She turned to face him.

She was mouthing something to him, something he couldn't understand. It felt important and when she was done, she smiled.

But he didn't have time to think about it any longer, since now the figure was gone, and replacing it stood a boss. It was a weird spider thing. He didn't like it. He was scared of it.

But he could do this.

The chittering of spiders echoed in the air, and he felt little things crawling over him. Spiders. Baby spiders. Gross beyond description. He focused, ignoring their chattering.

" SUNNY..."

He listened.

" SUNNY, you have to remember to FOCUS."

He breathed.

" Remember how to concentrate," An action grew in his mind. A stomping motion.

" And FOCUS it."

...

Sunny stomped the spider.

He blinked.

Anti-climactic as hell. He looked around, expecting something to come from a different corner of the room but...Nothing. He felt confused. He shrugged and started walking to his room, shutting the door behind him. He pulled the covers over himself and snuggled in. His eyes drooped.

The last thing he saw before he slept was Something staring at him from the corner.

Basil breathed heavily. He felt like he was going to pass out, turning to walk quickly.
" Basil? Are you okay?" He gave a quick nod and a shakey smile. " I-I'm f-fine! D-don't worry!" Stepping in front of him, Aubrey grabbed his shoulders and held him in place. He had an uneasy expression on his face. " What is bothering you? I know that the way Sunny reacted is concerning, but I haven't seen you this bad since...You know..." Aubrey's expression softened. " I just- I worry about you. I worry about you a lot." Air was sucked through his teeth as he shook even more.
" I...I am...I am just worried about Sunny. His home looks a mess, and he hasn't eaten in forever. He can't even remember that Mari died. He thinks she's away in college Aubrey. College! That is not good. It's not good at all." She pulled Basil into a hug, which he let out a small gasp at. Aubrey didn't usually let out big hugs like this, normally refraining from even the slightest touch. " Listen. I'm just as worried about Sunny as you are, but right now? Right now we can't do anything. It's just better to wait until tomorrow because that way we'll have an extra pair of hands to help us make Sunny remember Mari's death. Hero's bound to be good at that, right?"
