Claudia's POV

I finally managed to get Elizabeth to fall asleep and covered her in a blanket. When Pintel and Ragetti appeared. "What do you want now?" I ask them as I stand in front of Elizabeth. Protectively.

"The captain has requested your presents Miss Smith" Pintel tells me.

"Then lead the way" I tell them. We leave the cabin and they lead me to Barbossa's cabin. Once there they knock and I roll my eyes. Pushing them aside and enter the room.

"Ah Miss Smith, delighted you could join me" Barbossa states. I notice the feast has been change with dessert platters. "Please sit" he tells me. I do so and he tells the other two to leave.

"Why am I here Barbossa?" I ask him.

"I thought you'd like some dessert" he states.

"I meant, why am I still alive?" I ask him. "You don't know who I am, so can't ransom me. You haven't made any advances, so you obviously don't want to rape me. And you haven't killed me, why?" I ask him.

"I'm intrigued by you" he states.

"Intrigued?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, you have no fear in your eyes unlike Miss Turner. She tries to act tough, but you can see in her eyes she's scared for her life and yours. But you, I see no fear in your eyes" he explains.

"I far nothing" I tell him shrugging.

"Wrong, everyone fears something and I wish to know what you fear" he tells me.

"Good luck, if I am scared of anything. I don't know what it is" I tell him.

"Interesting" he says. "Why don't you eat?" he asks me.

"Not hungry, I'm still full for dinner" I tell him. "So this curse, are you immortal?" I ask him.

"Pretty much, we've been shot, stabbed, drowned, fallen off cliffs and much more. Yet we're still here" he states.

"So you're just keeping me around until you grow bored? Or figure out my fear?" I ask him.

"Yes" he answers.

"What of Miss Turner? Are you going to kill her to lift your curse?" I ask him.

"No, we only need a drop of her fresh blood to lift the curse" he tells me.

"Then what? You let her go?" I ask him curious.

"Haven't decided yet" he tells me. "We have not been able to enjoy a woman's company in years. Along with food and drink. We planned on a huge feast when the curse lifted and many of the men long to bed a woman again" he explains.

"None of you will touch her" I sneer glaring at him.

"Of course not, in fact I'd be willingly to let her go free once the curse is lifted. If you do something for me" he tells me.

"What?" I ask him.

"Sail with me and my crew. Join it and Miss Turner may go free once the curse is lifted" he tells me. "I believe you'd be a fine pirate if taught correctly" he states.

"I'll never be a pirate" I sneer.

"I think you'd like it" he tells me. "No dresses or corsets. Being able to defend yourself and not rely on a man for protection. You'll be free to go wherever you want and do whatever you want" he states.

"Already do that" I tell him shrugging. "Besides I'm a better swords woman, then my brother is a sword man. In fact I taught him everything he knows about sword fighting" I state.

"Can you sail?" he asks me.

"I know enough to get by, I'm more of a navigator" I tell him.

"I happen to be a fine sailor" he tells me.

"And I told you. I'm not interested" I tell him.

"Perhaps sometime in a cell will change your mind" he states and clicks his fingers. Pintel and Ragetti appear. "Take Miss Smith to the brig and leave her there. No one is to go near her until I say so. Or else" he sneers. They nod and grab me.

"This isn't over Barbossa, no cell can hold me" I sneer.

"We shall see about that. In fact if you can escape, you and Miss Turner will be free to go once the curse is lifted" he tells me.

"We have an accord" I tell him. Then I'm taken away and placed in a cell. I examine the cell and decide it's to dark to properly examine the room. So I lay on the bench. Using my hands as a pillow. I pray Elizabeth is ok and doesn't do anything stupid. I hope James is looking for us. Though I bet Elizabeth and I will already be free by the time he and the Navy rock up.

We have to escape before they realize she's not actually a Turner by blood. Actually that she's not a Turner at all. What if they think I'm a Turner? No, they said she was the proper age. So they wouldn't suspect me, right?

I sigh and clear my mind. Focusing on the gentle rocking of the ship as it sails through the water. I close my eyes and fall into a dreamless sleep.
