Umm Hi? Its been a while. I was busy with studying for exams and stuff so I wasn't able to post for the past few months I think? Before I forget Iruma is neither evil cycle nor normal he is a mixture of both the personalities I believe I already mentioned it but if not then here; Whatever here is the new chapter and thank you for reading!
A few days before the meeting with the Thirteen crowns
"The Demon King is the most powerful person in the whole of netherworld" [Iruma]
"Correct" Ali nodded.
"It is the dream of many a demons to occupy that throne?" [Iruma]
"Correct" Ali nodded again
"Then why are you so insistent on making me give up on this once in a lifetime opportunity again?" Iruma dead-panned.
"Would you believe me if I say its just on a whim?" Ali said while posing in a flashy manner.
" " Iruma just kept on staring
"Alright alright I get it... Sheesh youngsters these days can't even take a joke easily" The Gluttony spirit said in a sulky manner.
"You were saying?" [Iruma]
"Fine but first answer this question have you heard of the many tales of the oh so great Demon King Derkila?" Ali said in a stagy manner.
"Not sure about the "oh so great" part but yeah I have heard a few things about Derkila-sama from Grandpa. He said that the demon in question was one of the greatest king the realm has ever seen" [Iruma]
"Hoho Go on~" Ali said while puffing his chest.
"Grandpa also said that he was incredibly lazy, had mood swings which were worse than that of teenage girls (No offense) and that he never listened to anyone" [Iruma]
"Sa-chan why would you do that to me!" [Ali]
"Huh?" [Iruma]
"Ahem! Apologies please continue" [Ali]
"Right.... When mentioning the infamous king grandpa had this tired look on his face and he sighed quite a lot of times mumbling something about being irresponsible or whatever that was" Iruma said in a confused manner
"Wait why are you not looking at me?" [Iruma]
"N-Nothing I just thought that some exercise would do me good every once in a while" The spirit said while nervously moving his hands around. [Ali]
"Do you even need exercise?" [Iruma]
"It's the feelings that counts you know" [Ali]
"Ok?... But despite all of the bad qualities grandpa listed there was this one time he had a wide smile on his face. 'He was childish, brutish and what not but he was a fun person who led the demon world through many glorious days' is what he said" [Iruma]
"Did he now?... Oh well so do you know where is he now?" [Ali]
"No" [Iruma]
"Does your grandpa know?" [Ali]
"...No" [Iruma]
"That was my point each and every demon king till date has been like this or to put it simply each of them have a curse of sort" [Ali]
"A curse?" [Iruma]
"There was this one king who was born from a dead mother as he was too powerful and the mother couldn't hold on, it was a miracle that he was even born in the first place" [Ali]
"....." [Iruma]
"He got consumed with hatred during the end of his reign and when he came to his senses it was already too late in his anger he slaughtered everyone at babel including his thirteen crowns. What happened after that is something that you won't be able to take in" [Ali]
"Ali-san I will not ask you why you know all that because I already know you won't tell me" [Iruma]
"Correct, so please stop thinking abo-"
"But you seem to be missing something here" [Iruma]
"Missing?"
"To quote your own words I am neither human nor demon" [Iruma]
"Meaning?"
"Even if the worst comes to pass I will face it head on! If being the demon king is in reality a curse then I will gladly accept my fate" [Iruma]
"?!" [Ali]
"So partner would you be willing to join me on this double suicide" [Iruma]
"Ha... You really got me there Iru-boy not gonna lie but if you are so sure then I guess the great one and only Ali-san will have to help you" [Ali]
"Yeah-yeah whatever" [Iruma]
"Maybe you would be the one to show everyone the light after all" The gluttony spirit whispered.
"You said something?" [Iruma]
"Nah it's nothing, after saying all those things I hope you are prepared for some extra training Iru-boy~" [Ali]
"Drat!" [Iruma]

A short chapter sorry about that I thought that I should at least post a small chapter as I have not posted a chapter for 4 months or so. Thank you for all your kind comments it motivated me to continue writing. I will not promise but I will at least try to update more frequently. Anyways peace peace.
