(Y/N POV)
"Finally!" I squeal as we pull up to King's Cross. We find a parking spot, and my dad turns around to look at me. He tells me some things to expect, where to go, and most importantly that they'll be looking forward to my letters each week. My mom is sitting in the passenger seat holding back tears. I frown and lean forward to hug her. "It'll be okay, mom," I say. "I'll be back for the holidays!" She nods and hugs me, crying. After she lets go, I give my dad a hug as well. He gets out and helps put my suitcases and owl on a trolley. "You've got this, kiddo," he says. "Bye, Dad," I say with a smile; and with that, I walk into the train station.
(Draco POV)
This was the longest car ride of my life. Father did nothing but lecture me the entire time, but of course, it's normal. When we finally arrive, he helps me get my items out of the car and bids me farewell. I should've known that was all I'd get, given my family has never been very affectionate. With that, I walk off, hoping I won't see them again for a long time.
(Y/N POV)
When I actually get inside the train station, I'm awestruck. It's a very large building. I have no idea where to go or where anything is. Until I spot a lanky, brown-haired boy walking around aimlessly. I decide to ask him, since he's got an owl as well. Believe it or not, it's not as common as one would think to just carry an owl around with you.
"Hey you!" I say while jogging up to him, pushing my trolley in front of me. "Do you know how to get to Platform 9 ¾?" He looks at me, "I'm just as confused as you are." Just then, we see a family rushing. "Come on now, we don't want to be late," says what seems to be the mother of the kids. The boy and I look at each other, and then follow the family. "So what's your name?" I ask him. "Harry. Harry Potter. And yours?" I smile. "Y/N. Y/N L/N." He smiles. "Nice to meet you," we say at the same time, giggling. We walk up to the mother of the family and ask for help.
"Well of course! It's Ron's first year as well," she says, pointing to the smallest ginger boy. He smiles and waves at us, so we wave back. She explains that we have to run head first at the wall? Is she crazy?? First goes her twins, and they seem to trick her with which twin goes when, and I find that pretty funny. Next Harry, then me, then Ron.
Next thing we know, we are on the other side of the wall, surrounded by wizards and witches of all ages, it's crazy! We rush onto the train as it's getting ready to leave.
(Draco POV)
I go through the wall to the Platform exactly as Father had instructed me to. Ugh, there's already too many people around. I impatiently look around for Crabbe and Goyle, my best friends. I finally find them. "What took you two so long?" I say, obviously already fed up with this Hogwarts crap.
"Sorry," Goyle says as he begins his pathetic excuse of an apology. "Our parents were talking forever, wouldn't let us leave."
"Well come on," I say, clearly frustrated. "The train is filling up and leaving soon." We rush onto the train to find an empty compartment.
