(Y/N POV)
We follow Professor McGonagall to Professor Quirrell's classroom where he's teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. "Professor," she says. "May I borrow Wood for a moment, please?" A tall, lanky boy comes out of the classroom. She smiles, "Oliver Wood, this is Harry Potter. Wood, I found you a seeker!"
Professor Snape comes up behind us. "Well, well," he says. "What have we here?
"I was introducing Wood and Potter, as I think Potter would make a great Seeker for the Gryffindor team," says McGonagall.
"Then what is L/N doing here?"
"I was going to send her to detention."
"What??" I look at her. "So, Harry and I both fly after Neville's Remembrall, and he gets rewarded but I get detention?" McGonagall just looks at me. "Now, is it because he's the Chosen One and a Gryffindor? Or is it because I'm a girl and a Slytherin? Or do you just play favorites?" McGonagall starts to say something but Snape cuts her off.
"I think L/N would be a great fit to the Slytherin Quidditch team, Minerva."
(Draco POV)
A first year on the Quidditch team? That's never happened before. Wicked, though. And props to Y/N for being the one for us. She definitely deserves it. I go find Marcus Flint, the Slytherin Quidditch team captain and tell him everything.
"Alright, so, I'm not mad but, a girl?"
"Yeah? So what?"
"Look, Malfoy.. There's a reason there's only one," Marcus says.
"Trust me, Flint. She'll be worth it."
He sighs. "I'll take your word on it, Malfoy, but if she lets me down-"
"She won't."
Marcus nods.
