Amara
There was a special night at the targets casino, black tie themed party, where the richest idiots spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on gambling. The majority lost all of that money within a blink of an eye. Those who won loads of money were soon taken care of by the owner. He couldn't let anyone win too much of his money, that's how he stayed successful.
I needed to blend in to the party and play the part well so I can get close to my target: Henry Torode.
Last time I barely got near him due to the mishap with Romeo, this time I needed to get rid of any distraction that stands between me and my target.
Looking through the shop floor of a pristine dress company, I glanced at potential outfits for tonight, something with class, elegance. As much so to not arouse any sort of suspicion. My usual outfits would have the purpose of mesmerising men so that I was able to do the job that I was employed to do.
There were so many different coloured gowns, and they glided along the shop floor. So many vibrant reds, royal blues, magnificent purples. Any shade of colour you could think of they definitely had. Most people have the belief that if you are a woman assassin, you can't like or enjoy girly things as it makes you look weak. My stand point is the complete opposite to that and I know that liking dresses and shopping doesn't make me weak, in fact those dresses are usually the ones that help me gain an advantage over my targets.
Each dress had its own unique features that made it look so amazingly singular. A few had caught my eye but nothing that would suit the occasion well enough. I wasn't even sure which colour deemed more appropriate.
A glimmer of green shimmered in my eye, walking over to the dress while adjusting my cap, I reached out to admire it. It was truly beautiful. The perfect combination of emerald and Jade satin mix. Pulling it out a little further I was able to see the simplicity of this dress, there wasn't much too it but with this ease came hidden depth that I instantly knew would suit my evening plans.
The garment had a low and open back which would end at underside of ones spine just above the bottom. Keeping this part of the dress stable and decent would be a choker like halter neck that perfectly fitted the wearer. No sleeves were found on this dress, instead there was a quite large and possibly indecent split of the dress leading from the rim all the way up to the thigh. This was utterly perfect.
Without hesitation I picked up this dress and headed to claim it for my own.
"That will be £2,000 please" the cashier invited while wrapping the dress up nicely and folding it into a rather oversized custom bag.
"Perfect" I placed my card into the card machine typing in my digits and waited for the dress to be handed over.
Of course that is a lot of money for a dress but when you are in my line of work, it doesn't matter too much the cost of these things because they always play their part in getting the job done.
Romeo:
I had been up and down looking for Amara but there was absolutely no sign of her. I tried her house and there was nothing, not even her roommate Riley Hernandez was in. There was extensive research done on this one, she was a bit of a wildcard and was happy with mummy and daddy's money, with it she would go our and continue her reckless galivants. I wasn't too fond of those kinds of people, unpredictable and full of weaknesses, but Amara likes her so I will have to aswell.
My phone begins to buzz as I get back into my car after trying the gym where Amara works, which I still don't understand how she does that and kills people for a living. Rushing to pick it up in case it is her,
"Amara?" my impatient tone echoes.
"Sorry boss, its me." Ughhh Antonio, clearly I am slightly on edge and do not want to be interrupted on my search.
"What is It?" Teeth gritting slightly through this sentence, but taking a breath I calmed myself slightly.
There was a slight pause until Antonio decided to respond.
"Sole Trevi is hosting a black tie evening at his casino in town tonight, apparently he wants to celebrate his recent business success. And because you want to go into business with this man I figured that it would only be right if you attend to show your respect. Of course if you do wish to I can get you an invite within the hour." Antonio informed me.
A large casino night? At a time where I can only think about Amara's whereabouts, I cant tell if it is a good idea or a bad one.
"This isn't one I can just send Cosimo on is it?" I held both my temples as I took in the inevitable answer.
I could practically hear Antonio shaking his head, "Not unless you want to make a bad impression with Sole, he doesn't trust easy."
"Get me an invitation then, If Cosimo wants to join then he can. If Sole wants respect of a Medici, then he can have two and be done with it." I couldn't tell how this evening would plan out, all I could think about was Amara and her soft and supple skin on mine.
"Right away sir." Antonio asserted then hanging up and leaving the call.
The splitting migraine like feeling was now making my head feel as thought it was on fire, I began to run my hands in a massaging motion over my face to sooth as much as possible.
Testing my luck slightly I thought of calling Amara again. The empty ringing was not giving me hope and almost forced me to put the phone down and leave it.
"Hello."
My ears perked up and the migraine stopped.
"Hello?" Her voice questioned again, I was unable to believe that she answered after hundreds of missed calls that my voice just did not want to work.
"Amara?" I called. From the pause after this I had assumed that she had recognised my voice and was looking for a response."Romeo listen, I'm sorry about this morning, you had me all freaked out about everything that was said last night. I've never been apart of a team before and I don't think Id be very much good at it." He voice was sweet and light, like honey, I would never be able to get enough of it.
I let out a sigh before responding, "You need to come and see me so that we can talk about this, I know that it is difficult but I believe that you would truly be a viable asset to my team. Please just tell me where you are so we can talk."
She didn't respond right away, I hadn't a clue what she was thinking.
"Come to my place in 10 minutes, we can talk then." Amara gently relayed.
Without a second thought I told her that I'd be there and exited the call heading straight for her place.
-
I raced out of the car as soon as I arrived at the front door and impatiently I beat on the door. Very promptly I was greeted with the most enticing eyes I've ever seen. Before either of us got a second to speak I stepped into the door and wrapped my arms around her embracing her unlike I've ever done before. Taking her incredibly warming scent in as I picked her up and swung her around.
"You scared me so badly." I exclaimed while slowly lowering her and placing a gentle kiss on her head.
What the hell was that? I have never reacted that way to anyone before.Adjusting myself and taking her out my arms stepping back so that I could regain my composure.
"Why did you just run away?" asking her with a concerned look. She looked up at me with her comforting hazel eyes and began to walk further into the house. Closing the door behind me I followed her awaiting my answer.
"I told you, I panicked, I've never worked with anyone before, its a first for me. As was what happened last night." A little smile escaped from her lips as she said this which only made a huge grin appear on my face as I had flashbacks of the previous night.
Walking closer towards her I take her hands in mine and look deeply into her eyes.
"Listen you don't have to make any decisions just yet but please just keep it in mind before you accept anymore jobs from anyone else." As I spoke her eyes trailed away from me to look down towards the ground. Noticing this I picked up her gaze with the placement of my finger on her chin.
"Please come with me to a party tonight." I let out with all honesty.
Why did I mention the party?
Amara's face looked full of intrigue and question.
"What party?" she spoke, her tone matching the exact same expression as the one on her face."Its just a celebration a potential business partner is throwing at his casino, it is a black tie dress code. Would you happen to have anything so you could accompany me?" The more I continued the more I wanted her to be on my arm as I walked in, if that doesn't get Sole to trade with me I don't know what will.
The look on her face showed contemplation, like she was weighing up the odds in her head to see how it will play out for her.
Her eyes then centred onto mine and she nodded her head, "I would love to go with you Romeo."
