Amara

Making my way out of the shower with a large, soft, charcoal towel tightly wrapped around me with my long hair dripping with water. I felt much cleaner, much more relaxed and just overall a lot happier.

I saw clothes laid out on the bed and a little note next to them. The clothes that were laid out were a pair of black cycling sports shorts and a large jumper to go over them.

The note simply read: "I want you to be comfortable principessa- R"

My cheeks began to redden and heat up from the amount I was smiling. Images of his chiselled and sharp features began to flood my mind. I closed my eyes in order to see them more vividly, and resulted in biting my lip, imagining his perfectly toned body at the gym that day.

Amara. Stop. What are you doing?

I was brought out of my day dreaming state and snapped my head and focus onto the clothes that I needed to dress into.

When I put on the jumper a familiar scent greeted my nose as I inhaled for breathe. The smell of Romeo on the jumper was like heaven. Liquid heaven. It was imprinted all over the jumper which was large enough to swallow me whole.

I made my way out of the bedroom in search for Romeo or anyone for that matter. The house seemed so empty, but then again who'd be able to tell? The house was huge. There could be about 200 people here and it's so large that you probably wouldn't run into any of them.

Making my way through the countless halls, dining rooms and lounge areas I came to the same room in which I had entered when first arriving. Where I saw Romeo waiting for me and where he held me tight in his arms and danced with me.

I couldnt help my eyes from wondering around the room some more, taking in the royalty of it. The grandness of it.

The detailing around wasn't like anything I'd ever seen. Growing up I always has a fondness for art and always enjoyed being in galleries taking in the incredible minds that came out onto these canvases.

My eyes were focused on two specific pieces above the fireplace. I was mesmerised by the simplicity yet the hidden complexity in them. They told a story of a monarchy, my depiction of it anyways.

"Do you like them?" I heard his familiar voice shoot from across the room.

I slightly jumped at it and shot my head toward him in a sneered look but then regained my focus on the paintings.

"They are really quite something." I added while stepping back even further to appreciate them.

Romeos steps slowly warred closer each step making my heart pound just that hit more. I felt his presence next to me looking up at the paintings that I was focused on, and then onto me.

"Do you know what they represent?" He asked, looking down on my small stature and admiring me, admire the beautiful artwork.

I took a breath in order to compose myself in his presence.

"What I see is a monarchy. In danger of falling to another just like it, or rising to one greater than it. The darkness depicts the degradation. And the lighter tones in the top corner depict the rise into royalty and grace ."

There was a silence for a moment or two which made me take my eyes off of the paintings and onto Romeo himself. Who stood there staring at me in awe.

"I'm impressed" his lips let out a smile and his tongue glided on his lips lightly. He edged then to bite his lower lip lightly and nodding his head, focusing on the ground.
