Star-gazing was something he'd read about, but never done. He'd read how happy and peaceful it made some people feel, but he didn't see how it could make someone feel so elated. They were just burning balls of elements miles and miles away from earth. What was so special about it?

Then again, not everyone liked the same things. Ray's favourite hobby was anything that involved literature. Be it reading, writing or analysing, Ray loved it. He could spend hours, days, weeks, months, even years simply reading and he'd never get bored. It was his way to escape the idiocy that some people suffered from.

He never payed attention in class; his mind was too focused on a new idea that would pop into his head and then he'd have to write it down before he forgot. He tended to forget things. Appointments, ideas, to-do lists and reminders littered his arms so he wouldn't forget. Sometimes reality had too many responsibilities so he'd read to escape from the chains that rooted him. This escapism sparked his imagination.

He saw the world in a unique way that no one else seemed to share. He saw the beauty in the little things. That's what literature taught him. But with no way to express himself, 'what's the point if no one will understand,' he thought to himself, he began to write. It started as short descriptions but over time his imagination grew and so, his writing did too. Descriptions became poems and poems became stories. Soon, he was writing whenever he was bored.

Whenever a beautiful plot point came into his mind, his hand gained a new marking. He kept his head down and focused. But he could never stop his creativity running wild in his mind and conducting these brilliantly beautiful ideas that showcased his passions. He figured there had to be someone like him out there. Someone who had the same creative mind with no outlet.

So when the galaxy appeared on his wrist, seemingly tattooed to that small portion of skin on his 16th birthday, he finally realised why star-gazing was so special. It brought people together.

A/N
This is Ray's introduction. He's the other soulmate, the forgetful writer as I've decided him to be. The next chapter will be following the storyline, these two were more prologues for the characters. Also, the image at the beginning is my friend's interpretation of Nova and I wanted to include it here.
