"yea, yea I know, Dad. I just have A this weekend. Sorry." Anna said, her shoulder holding her phone against her ear and holding her 1 year old daughter Ava in the other.
"I thought Katie had Ava on weekends?" Her dad asked "she said she was going on a trip with Josh, and needed more time, I-it's whatever." She said sadly when the door bell rung, "yea, I have to go dad, talk later." She said as he ended the call.
She rushed to answer the door, and seen Eva, her boss standing there. She worked from home so she was very confused why she was there, not to mention her big crush on the older women.
"Hello, Ms. Cudmore. Do you need something?" She asked, Eva smiled, "you said to pick up those papers today, is it a bad time?" She asked, noticed the baby peacefully sleeping on Anna's shoulder.
"oh! n-no, not at all." Anna said, letting Eva in. Eva sat on the couch while Anna ran upstairs to lay Ava down.
"i'm so sorry it's such a mess," anna sighed, handing eva the papers. "thank you..." she said, she looked in anna's tired eyes, "are you okay?" she asked.
anna sighed, looking up as tears filled her eyes, "yea- yea i'm okay. just... i'm alright." she said, eva knew she wasn't. she stood up, wrapping her arms around her.
anna broke down, hugging her back.
