"Promise you won't lose it." Fifteen Year old Anna made Eva promise, "I promise." Eva said, Anna handing the ring to the sixteen year old the sliver heart ring.
"now, we'll have a piece of each other with us all the time." Eva smiling, hugging the shorter girl, she hugged back.
After Eva left, she started to think, it wouldn't be so bad to confess her feeling to her, after all it was eating her up inside and she had to get rid of the fragile secret before it was too late.
The next day, Anna invited her over.
"we'll just tell me, I can't be that bad can it?" Eva asked with a simple shrug while holding her hand, "w-well, I-I just wanted to say that I really like you, a-and I wanted to know if you felt the same way." Anna muttered, Eva immediately let Anna's hand go, making Anna sigh.
"U-uhm, I-I don't feel that way, Anna." She said, Anna nodded, "I-I'm not into girls, you know that" Eva said, Anna tilted her head in the odd change of mood, "i know? I just wanted to tell you to get it off my chest." She said, Eva scoffed, taking off the ring she just gave her yesterday, throwing it on her bed, "you should keep that".
Anna watched sadly as her bestfriend walked out the door, she couldn't stop her.
She fell to her knees, balling her eyes out until her mom found her.
