Author's Notes: So this takes place two days later, Castle and Beckett were off the day before decorating their christmas tree and their loft
Two days later, with now eight days left till the Shake It Up, NYC! Christmas Concert live broadcast, both Castle and Beckett emerged from the elevator at the precinct, holding cups of coffee on their hands.
"You know, Alexis really adored the dances on Shake It Up, NYC! and she sometimes dances to the show. I even remembered back when she was in High School, she submitted an audition video of her dancing to the song 'Watch Me' because she wants to be on the show so badly but she didn't get in." Castle said to Beckett.
"Well, you should be very proud for yourself that you told Alexis about the case yesterday while you were decorating the Christmas tree with her. She seems really surprised when you told her that the victim was a member of the stage crew." Beckett said to him.
"Hey, Castles." Ryan said to them from his desk.
"Hey Ryan." Beckett replied to him.
"So, me and Javi went back to the crime scene yesterday and we interviewed everyone if they saw something on the night that Daniel was killed." Ryan shared to both Castle and Beckett.
"And?" Beckett asked Ryan.
"Well, we know that he was killed between 9:00 and 11:00 last night, and the dancers left at 8:00 which means no one saw anything suspicious last night." Ryan told them.
"I even spoke to Rocky and CeCe, they didn't see anything suspicious on the night that Daniel was killed, they were in a dress rehearsal from 6:00 to 7:00, in which they left after that." Esposito said. "Also, I tried out the dance that the girls were doing." Castle and Beckett were shocked when he told them that.
"Really!?" Castle asked Esposito.
"Yeah, he lost a bet. And it turns out, he couldn't do the dance Rocky and CeCe were both doing." Ryan replied.
"What bet?" Beckett asked.
"Well..." Ryan began to say.
"Don't even tell them bro!" Esposito ordered Ryan.
"You know me and Javi won the police gala talent show during the Richie "The Pitbull" Falco murder case? Well, I bet on him that he can do the dances that are seen on Shake It Up, NYC! which I asked the girls if he can try out the dance they were practicing." Ryan said to them in which Castle and Beckett laughed.
"Dude!" Esposito said to Ryan and both Castle and Beckett stopped laughing.
"Sorry." Ryan apologized and cleared his throat. "Umm... Anyway, I talked to a janitor who was working on the night of the murder. He remembers seeing someone wearing a black hoodie entering the arena via the loading bay at 8:55PM and then exiting via the same loading bay at 9:25PM. Since Daniel was killed between 9:00 and 11:00, this could be our guy." Ryan said.
"And I checked with the father, Daniel received the $100,000,000 lottery money from him, all in cash. But I checked his bank account, he did not deposited the money into his account. He said that it was in a duffle bag and was passed onto him but we couldn't find it at the crime scene." Esposito said.
----------------------------------------
"Hey, so I went through the surveillance footages at the loading bay and the entire arena. Looks like the hooded man was seen entering at 8:55PM and leaving at 9:25PM via the loading bay, he was seen in multiple footages which is different areas of the Arena." Vikram Singh, the former A.G's Office low-level tech analyst and now a tech analyst with the NYPD's 12th Precinct told them.
