{{DAMARA ROMANO}}
After the little stunt he pulled last night? He thinks this will be easier? Oh baby no. This will be so much harder. I left the house early this morning. I had to meet with one of my friends. She's visiting for vacation, Salem Kingston. She's been in my life since before I was pulled into the program. We've kept touch these past few years.
She lives in a New York apartment I bought. Well it's not much of an apartment, it's a 20 million dollar penthouse on top of the Quay Tower. I built and bought it. Not the building just the penthouse. It's in Brooklyn, I told Salem she owed me a drink next time we saw one another. So here we are. She was in-fact my first kiss.
We were walking down the street. Berlin is so pretty. We both had coffee in our hands as we caught up. Berlin also has some good coffee.
"So, what's with this partner of yours? After Kaylia I didn't think you wanted another partner?" She asked.
"I didn't. But I have to have one for this. Vittorio is a little... interesting. That's the only way I can't put it." I sighed.
"You have a crush on him." She pointed.
"How do you do that?!" I scoffed. She's been doing this since we were children.
"You're my sister Damara. I know you better than anyone, I know all the shit you've been through since you were seven years old. I think I can tell when you like someone, it's intuition now." She shrugged.
"Sometimes I hate that you're a civilian." I sighed. "You would be a kick ass assassin." I chuckled and she rolled her eyes.
"You know damn well I don't do blood." She laughed.
I unlocked the car and walked around. She stared at it for a second. I probably should have taken one of the more tamed cars but I don't care. I haven't driven this beauty yet. It's a geeked out Dodge Challenger. I've been working on it since we got here. I've took it apart and put it back together at least twice since we've been in Berlin.
"Get in the fucking car Salem. We don't have all day!" I pushed getting into the car.
She got in after me drooling at the black interior. Both of us are car nerds. Salem and I were both champions when we raced in our small towns Grand Prix. Despite being grounded for over a year it was worth it. We had to lie about our age because we were only thirteen when we did it.

"Wait! Remember when we pretended to be sick so we could go clubbing for the first time?" She laughed as we walked into the house.
She didn't even look up at the house. She already knew it was big, she's been to all the houses I've had missions in. We were both laughing like idiots.
"Salem, remember when we played cards against humanity with Bryan and Greyson and my parents walked in?" I asked cringing as we walked into the kitchen.
"Yeah. We were both grounded by you're parents and I'm not even related to them." She laughed and hopped up on the counter.
"We should make brownies." I mumbled.
"Yes!" She squealed.
I grabbed all the ingredients and threw them all on the counter. I played some music and we talked and laughed. Then our favorite song stared playing.
"Oh shit." We both smirked at one another.
She hopped off the counter and we started dancing. We used to blare this song from my room. I had the hole attic to myself, so Salem and I would stay up doing homework and talking about shit we never told anyone else. Sometimes Vesper would dance with us. Those memory's are what keeps me alive.
We were both belting the song like we were at a concert. Our smiled were so wide, as we danced next to one another. Out of all my lives the memories I have with Salem take a place in my heart. She spun me around. When I lost my footing I fell only to be caught. Not by Salem.
I was pulled away and into the hallway. Salem
Just smiled at me."Traitor." I mumbled she she laughed.
Vi pushed me against a wall and smiled sweetly at me. I ran my tongue over my teeth and crossed my arms.
"Was there a purpose to this kidnapping?" I asked glaring up at him.
"Yes, and no." He winked.
He lowered his face to mine and grazed his lips against my own. I smirked and pulled away, walking back into the kitchen I was pulled by the waist. I grabbed onto the doorway and he lifted my feet off the ground.
"No! Salem!" I whined, she just laughed.
"I should go. It was nice seeing you Dam." Salem smiled at me.
"Until next time, genius." I saluted.
She did the same and left. I was pulled away from the doorway, and pulled into Vittorio's chest. I squirmed against him and he groaned.
"You're just making things worse for yourself, Mara." He carried me upstairs and dropped me on my feet in my room. "Get dressed. We have an assignment." And like always.
He edged me on then left.

Once I was dressed I smirked at myself. The one body trait I knew Vittorio had a weakness to, was shown off perfectly. My thighs. The cocktail dress I was wearing, hugged every inch of my body. I felt hot and I'm not going to try to hide it. I put on my sneakers and laughed at myself. Sneakers and a tight ass cocktail dress? Who am I?
I walked out of the room and ran downstairs staring at my phone. Artemis had texted me about something Grant's been trying to reach me about. My face went blank and my blood ran cold.
Vittorio & I are legally married as of last year. Last year? I didn't even know him last year!
What the fuck is happening.
I was still staring blankly at my phone. Married? Legally? How is that even possible? I never signed any- that backstabbing two sided little bitch. Grant.
Last year he made me sign a contract saying I would do any jobs for him within the next three years. I signed it without reading. He knew I wouldn't read it, let's just say I'm four seconds away from flying to Mexico and beating his bald ass. God damnit!
"Why are you so... Frozen?" Vi asked.
I looked up and glared at him. Does he know? No. He couldn't possibly know.
