{{DAMARA MARIANO}}
"That's the last bag." I put my hands on my hips and took in a deep breath. Something flew through my blood stream and my smile fell.
"What's wrong?" Vi asked wrapping his arms around my waist hugging me from behind.
"It's all becoming real. You and me. My brother, even Atlas. It's all so real now." I explained.
"Sometimes that's not a bad thing, princess. Come on. Let's go." He let me go and walked around to the driver side door.
We both got into the car knowing damn well our lives together just officially started. I couldn't help but wonder if I was making the right choice. Deep down I know something bad will happen to us but maybe that's just a natural reflex. Then again everyone I love around me tends to fall. I pray Vi changed our fate. My fate.

The car stopped outside my family's house and I smiled a little. Vi and I got out of the car and he grabbed my hand. We approached the door and I knocked.
Sam opened the door and he surprisingly looked really good. Gabriella appeared behind him with a small smile. I could tell she's still saddened by the death of her son and my brother. Who am I kidding so am I.
"Hey." I smiled.
"Hey honey, come on in." Sam greeted me with a hug. I hugged Gabbie next and looked at Vi.
"Gabbie, Sam, this is Vittorio my husband." I smiled. Gabbie stared at me and gave me the why-the-fuck-didn't-I-know-about-this-you-bitch look while smiling at Vi.
"If you don't mind, I'm going to steal Luna away from you." Gabbie grabbed my arm and smiled at Vi before pulling me harshly into the kitchen. "What the fuck Damara!" Gabbie didn't look mad entirely... almost. Happy-pissed?
"To be fair I didn't know we were married till like eight months ago so..." I shrugged.
"So your being kidnapped by a Greek god?" She asked.
"What!? No! I love him. We just stopped by before we caught our flight, Gabs." I rolled my eyes. Gabbie headed towards the kitchen door and pushed it open a little to see the boys talking.
"How about you stay for lunch?" Gabbie smiled at Vi then shut the door again. "Get your ass over here and help me with lunch Damara!" She hissed when she spotted me trying to go upstairs.
"Ugh!" I threw my head back.
She grabbed my arm yet again and forced me to make lunch with her then she proceeded to pester me about Vittorio and my love for him. As I've said before, he's my favorite topic so I didn't mind that so much.
"How's everything in general? How are you both holding up?" I ask softly.
"It's really hard not having him run down the stairs every morning. Like really hard. The house just seems so quiet now." She sighed.
"Gabriella, why don't you guys get a dog? Or maybe when it feels right foster?" I mentioned.
"I don't know Dam." Gabbie helped me put plates on the table.
"I said when it feels right. Don't rush into anything you don't want, that shit is what makes everything around you fall." It's harsh, but it's the truth.
"Okay. I'll talk to Sam about it if I deem it fits. Go get the boys." She pushed me out of the dining room and I tripped only to fall into a hard chest.
"Stai bene, piccola?" He asked helping me to my feet.
"Yup." I smiled up at him. "Come on, let's go eat." I pushed him into the dining room.
I walked over to where Sam was and he was staring at a photo of Vesper and I from a few years ago when I took the four of us on a trip with my first paycheck working with grant. I was so proud.
"He talked about you constantly you know." Sam smiled. He handed me the photo and nodded. "Keep it." Before I could protest he left the room. I placed the frame in my bag and sat down next to Vi at the table.
"So how long have you guys known each other?" Gabbie asked with her signature warm smile.
"About a year, maybe longer," Vi shrugged. "We've been together for about six months." He smiled.
"And you're married?" Sam chimed in.
"That's a long story. We have been married longer than we've known one another. It's something Grant shuffled together to sell me off." I muttered the last part taking a bite of my food.
After we ate all of us sat on the couch talking. Gabbie and Sam brought up photos of me when I was fifteen and first came to talk to them about Vesper. I looked so young, not like I'm not young but I looked like a teenager no shit Damara you were one.
I just looked a lot different. The scars on my face were scabbed in the photos, that's how long ago it was. Damn.
"We should go." I looked at my phone to see the time. I stood up and everyone followed my movement one by one. Sam and Gabbie walked us to the door and I grabbed my bag.
"It was nice seeing you Damara. And it was such a pleasure meeting you Vittorio." Sam smiled and pulled me in for a hug. I hugged Gabbie and she pulled me aside.
"I like him. He's nice to you Damara. Hold on, he's a good one." She rubbed my shoulders before kissing my head. "I love you, don't forget that okay?" She smiled.
"I love you too Gabbie." I hugged her tightly.
Vi and I left and soon drove to the airport. We grabbed our shit and left the car. After dropping off a few bags Vi grabbed my hand.
"Ready, to go home?" He questioned.
Pfft, you are my home.
