"ERTUGRUL!!!" I checked him over carefully and noticed that the arrow had thankfully missed his heart, but only by an inch and he had passed out. I grabbed his shield and covered myself and him with it as another arrow flew, this time hitting the sheild and getting stuck there. "Show yourselves, you cowards!" I shouted and suddenly, Templars were closing in on us from every side.

Eyes widening, I carefully lay Ertugrul on the ground, picked up his fallen sword and stood up slowly. I counted 20 soldiers all together, 4 on each side surrounding us. I took a deep breath as 4 came charging at me from the front. I made a quick, silent dua, yelled "ALLAH HU AKBAR!" and ran towards them. Somehow, I managed to slice of all four of their heads in one swift motion. I was shocked by what I had done but masked it after turning to face the rest of them. Half of them were scared and half in utter shock.

4 down, 16 to go. I took advantage of their distraction and charged at the four who were previously to the right of us. I stabbed 2 in their hearts and sliced the others' heads off. Since when did I get so good at fighting? Maybe it's the anger I'm getting as I remember how the Mongols tortured me. The four from the left charged at me, and I held my stance waiting to attack. I held the shield tightly in my left hand and the sword in my right.

Two approached me first and I sliced both of their necks. As I got ready to fight the other two, I felt a sharp pain in my back and realised one had cut into my back whilst I was busy. I fell onto my knees, but held onto my weapons. The lsst 6 soldiers surrounded me and I knew I couldn't give up, not when my husband's life was on the line. As I made another silent prayer to Allah, hoping he would give me the strength to stand up, 2 soldiers attempted to cut me again.

I swung at their legs cutting them clean off up to their knees and the collapsed on top of each other. I stood up, letting out a groan in pain and knocked 2 soldier back with the shield and then attacking the others. I stabbed one through the stomach until he coughed up blood and then yanked it out. Then I turned to the other and cut his arm and then his neck. The last two had finally stumbled back over, so I spun around and sliced both of their heads off.

The ones whose legs I had chopped at the knee were crying and whimpering in pain. I ignored them and carried Ertugrul to Aktalgoli. I placed him on slowly,  before retirning for the weapons. As I stumbled back to Aktalgoli, one of the soldiers swung at my right leg, leaving a deep gash. I cried out and fell once again before crawling to Ertugrul's white horse and everything turned black.
