On the fourth day of Christmas Katarwyn brings to you: part two of yesterday's story where you and your son, Archie, are off to the the Louvre to continue the wonderful day you so far are both having. Will it stay that way?

From the park, you walk as a pair around the town toward what could be lunch and the Louvre. The stroll both ways could've been a short distance from the hotel, depending on where the first stop was made by Archie. If only you didn't feel so miserable during this pregnancy, you wouldn't have to overthink transportation. If you weren't pregnant, it would be a no-brainer for you to walk the streets you still have memorized even now-- or even bike around for more of a burn in your calves. Also, not to mention, hunger isn't roaring from within your belly, but it could be at any moment in a growing young boy. Despite your pregnancy with Archer when you would gorge on any craving or food in your wake, the nausea with this one would always be present like stalker that never ceases in their violation of privacy.

You ask, swinging the hand you hold back and forth, "Do you want anything to eat, Bud? Lunch?"

He replies, "I could use a snack before going to your favorite place."

You nod curtly, "That sounds perfect as I'm not that hungry either."

"Flurry making your tummy feel bad?" he looks up to you with eyes growing the size of an owl. His expression reads of care and innocent confusion.

"Sort of. Plus, I'm saving room for a Croque Madame for lunch," whenever he asks about you being pregnant in concern or says "Flurry" because he can't get his tongue around Fleur, makes you melt.

"That sounds weird, Mom," Archie makes a gagging noise, "A frog lady?"

"No it's basically toasted bread, lots of cheese, mustard, and an egg on top," You chuckle, "You still wouldn't like it because you hate mustard, Little Man. I was the same until I realized what I was missing."

He jokes, "Of course you like that. You and Daddy like snails."

"Do you know what they're called in French, mon ami?" you ask, not even shocked he admitted to not understanding the beauty of insects boiled and cooked with wine and chicken both; then further flavored with butter, garlic, and a host of other delightful herbs.

"Escarg?" his eyes widen as he starts, not realizing how close he is.

You smile proudly, "Very close. Escargot. Like when during a race, the person tells everyone to go."

"Okay," he bobs his head up and down.

You give him a tickle that makes him giggle while you say loudly, "EscarGO!"

From there, your eyes quickly start darting around for a cafe where you could have a cup of herbal tea with a tiny pastry, while you'd find something savory for Archie to munch on. Then you find one you like and there's space to sit inside. You ask your son, "Would you like tartine à l'œuf et au fromage?"

"Sounds good, Mommy," he replies excitedly.

"What does that mean?" you decide to quiz him on language. "We can't go inside till you do."

He scrunches his face in that adorable way he does when he's thinking hard. Archie finally replies, "A tiny toast with egg and cheese."

You open the door declaring with a smile, "Bien joué!"

"Merci!" he exclaims as he goes through the door.

You grin, loving his energy to learn a language you hold close to your heart, the progress he's making, and his zest to explore new places, especially one you would always call home even though you've lived across the sea and many miles apart from. You tell him with a blissful tone, close to tears, "Vous êtes les bienvenus, mon ami (You're welcome, my love)."
