We Will Be Alright - A Seokrona AU

After Seokhoon wind down from the sadness that washed him off, the both were drowning in silence. Rona couldn't say anything, she was taken aback that Seokhoon would actually share this piece of his life. She always thought that man wouldn't trust her to the rate to share a few bits of his past.

She is thankful of course, he wouldn't even be open with any of his other sibling but she was thinking... if Seokhoon trusts her this much, what are their status of relationship? Special? Just friends? She couldn't think of any other reason why the icy cold Seokhoon would be this open with her.

“ Rona-ah...” Seokhoon called out to her. The look in his eyes changed completely when Rona turned into Seokhoon's direction. His eyes were full of endearment and love. “Yeojoo... she had told me this before.” Seokhoon began.

Flashback

Yeojoo holds Seokhoon's hands, tightly while looking deep into his eyes.

“Let's promise each other one thing. If something bad happens to either one of us, let's promise to not hook up with the sadness for too long. We must move on, and search for another partner. I don't want us to be sad all the time and always mourning for each other, I know it would take us a while to move on but we must, eventually.”

Seokhoon's look changed. He was worried, he was scared of losing his world, his everything. He didn't want Yeojoo to be hurt anywhere, physically and mentally. He knows how Yeojoo is always cautious of everything, but this time he couldn't just shrug it off from his shoulder.

“Geurae, I promise. But, I will make sure nobody can hurt you in any way. I promise that I will always protect you from any danger, any obstacle that we may run into. I love you, Do Yeojoo.” He said. The both smiled at each other then hugged, tears trickling down their faces.

Flashback ended

Rona got choked up after Seokhoon told her that one promise he kept up to the present. “I promised Yeojoo the world, her safety and her happiness. But I couldn't keep that promise to her, things happened and in a blink of eye, she was taken away from me. But with that promise, I want to commit to someone definitely took my heart away like how Yeojoo did.”

Rona couldn't really load all the words Seokhoon told her. She was washed in all sadness and resentfulness. She thought,

‘Is it right for me to have feelings for Seokhoon? Is this okay for me to have serious feelings for this man who lost his to-be wife and be in her step instead, without feeling guilty about it?’

Without hesitation, Seokhoon collects all of his courage and places his lips onto Rona's soft and tender lips. He can feel Rona get startled but he still didn't pull away, he wants Rona to know how genuine his feelings were.

He wanted Rona to know how he felt. But what he didn't expect is that Rona placed her hands on his shoulder, deepening the kiss.

The kiss itself was salty and sweet, with tears covering between them. Both of them knew, they were just meant to be together.

They couldn't pull away, sadness and sympathy were washing them away. They pulled away, running out of breath.

Rona pulled Seokhoon into a hug, “Thank you for telling me about Yeojoo, I really appreciate it. I will always remember her, I promise.”

Rona said, patting on the guy's broad shoulders. Seokhoon giggled after a while, the situation itself is just so unexpected.

How one practice session became a heartfelt confession, it was worth the pain and tears they went through. Rona smiled while caressing the man's cheeks.

“Now let's practice, we still have time for this after.” Rona said. They giggled for a bit and continues to practice.

“I am back!” Rona exclaimed, opening her shoes at the front of the house. “Rona-ah! You made it, uri ttal!”  Yoonchul welcomes the girl warmly.

“Rona-ah! I missed you!” Eunbyeol exclaimed and continues to run to the girl and grabs her into a big hug. “Of course I'm back! I missed you too, Eunbyeol-ie! ” Rona then continues to hug her dad too, after so long not being home.

“Where's Eomma?” Rona asked, noticing there were only the both of them in the house. Yoonchul and Eunbyeol could only look at each other, not giving the asking answers.

“Ah... Eomma went to grab groceries, she must have forgot to tell Appa about it.” Eunbyeol awkwardly answers, after looking at her dad's puzzled face.

“Arrasso, I'll go and wash up first then. Please, continue whatever things that you guys were doing before.” Rona says, then pulls her luggage to her room.

Yoonchul and Eunbyeol could only share horrified faces, panicking about answers to give when Rona asks about her mother.

Rona, who was in her room were skeptical and aware that her father and sister were hiding something from her. ‘What are they hiding away from me? ’ Rona thought.

She shrugged the idea away and started unpacking her things as she would be staying with her family until it's time for her to go back to her hectic schedule.

After quite some time in her room, Rona comes out looking for her mother who isn't back from 'groceries shopping'. She then searches for Eunbyeol, who was cutting kimchi for their side dishes in the kitchen. Rona sits down on the dining table nearby, then asks Eunbyeol.

“What is taking Eomma so long?” She could see Eunbyeol get startled by her question but she still couldn't figure out what she is hiding. “I don't really know, she said she would be fast but she isn't returning.” Eunbyeol gave out.

“Ya Ha Eunbyeol, are you and Appa hiding something away from me?” Rona straight out asked. Before Eunbyeol could even give her answer, the door ringed as a sign that the door has been unlocked.

“That must be Eomma.” Eunbyeol ran away, going to Yoonhee who was assumed to be back.
Rona came to the front finding her mother and an familiar man. Rona went into shock as soon she realized who was in front of her.

“Jung Yoondo sunbae-nim? Why are you here with my mother? ”
