“A boy.” The doctor announced loudly so everyone in the room could hear as he handed my baby to the nurse. He was crying, which meant he was healthy. The nurse gave him a quick cleanup and smiled widely as she layed him in my arms. Bruce leaned over me, to get a good look at him.
“Oh…” I sighed. “Hello, my baby boy…” I smiled the biggest I think I ever have.
“He’s beautiful.” the nurse commented.
“Thank you.” I whispered.
“Of course he is, he looks like his uncle.” Tony laughed, letting the baby wrap his little fingers around his thumb. “Crap.” Tony sighed.
“What?” I laughed lightly.
“I love him.” Tony smiled, wiggling his thumb and making the little baby boy open his eyes, revealing large brown eyes.
“I do too.”
“So do I.” Bruce added.
“Here,” I said, starting to get ready to hold the baby out for Bruce but he looked nervous. I sat up so I could handle things better. “Hold him Bruce.” I told him, so he held his arms out and I layed the baby in them. Bruce’s eyes light up immediately
“Oh my god.” He said, tears gathering in his eyes. “Look at you.” The baby’s small hand reached up and grabbed onto the stubble on Bruce’s chin.
“Excuse me,” the nurse interrupted, everyone looked up from their staring at the baby and turned their attention to the nurse. “Sorry, I just need to know what you’re going to name him.” she said. Bruce looked to me and I grinned.
“Anthony Phillip Banner. That’s his name.”
