"This will be your room." Mrs. Maria said, opening the door to reveal a room that was bigger than my old house.
"Whoa…" was all I could say. I sat down on the bed and it was the softest thing I’d ever touched. I ran over to the fish tank and pushed my face against it and watched as a neon blue and orange fish swam contently past. I heard Maria laugh and turned to her, slightly embarrassed by my actions. "I'm sorry."
"It's quite alright, dear." she smiled. "Oh! You haven't eaten this morning, you must be hungry, let's go." she said. I followed her into a huge kitchen, come to think of it, every thing about the house was huge; the doors, the rooms, the furniture, the fish tanks, beds, stairs, even the paintings on the walls were huge.
"Your house is beautiful." I told her shyly.
"Our house." she corrected. "It's yours now as well as mine." she handed me a Coke and told me she'd be right back after she made me a sandwich, that she was going to get someone named Tony. I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.
