“Hey! You!” the men screamed from outside. “Another mindless burglary,” I said. This was the third week I had been to my therapist. “Uh, no. This isn't a burglary,” he said. I stood up, and looked out the window. A group of people were running from the police. All of the guys had on descending pants, and the girls had on painted jeans. This was a gang. Not just by their clothing. Actually, that didn't give me any idea that they were a gang. I just note people in outfits. I noticed by the way they all had some sort of insignia on, and they all had guns in their hands. The insignia was an infinity sign. “I'll be right back,” I said, picking up my bag. I ran outside with a few glances from bystanders. The gang ran right past me, and I pulled one out of the way. It was a girl that looked way too young for this. She almost reminded me of....well, me. She was around the age I was when I turned leader, and she looked rough. “I got a gun, and if you don't tell me who you is, I'ma beat the shit outta ya,” she snapped. I rolled my eyes. Naive girl. “Chill out. All I want to know is who you are and why you're here. This is a gang free territory,” I said. The girl flicked her fake hair behind her shoulder. Her make up was an inch thick, and her hair had been dyed. She had on fake nails and just looked fake. “I'm none of yo business. Now get away from me.” I sighed. “Just cooperate with me. Please?” She sighed. “I'm Salisha. I'm in the infinite gang, we're new, and deadly.” Infinite gang? “Why are you here? We don't allow gangs any more.” Salisha rolled her eyes, “We here, cuz we can.” I looked around. “You obviously don't know this neighbor hood's past, do you?” Salisha made a face like 'I don't give a shit'. “We already had a gang fight. People died, and in the end no one won.” Salisha pursed her lips. “Oh yeah. You must be Des. The bitch.” I shook my head. “That isn't me. She killed her self a while ago,” I lied. I didn't want to be known for malice any more. I wanted to be known to be a good person. Heh. Hell will freeze over before that happens. “Look, just don't cause any trouble. These people have seen too much already.” Salisha rolled her eyes. “I ain't promisin' you nothing.” With that, she ran off back to her people. I couldn't let anyone else get hurt, and I couldn't let anyone else die.
“Don't you think this is a little careless, Des?” My mum asked. I shook my head and stuffed the rest of the clothes into the bag. “I need to leave. I can't let anyone else get hurt.” My mum rolled her eyes, “Des, saving the world isn't your job.” She put a hand on my shoulder, but I shrugged it off. “Yes, it is. At least saving this neighborhood from another gang is my job.” My mum sighed, “Just be careful. Don't end up like your father.” Imaged flashed throughout my head. Allen. Dad. Blood. They all rushed back. I needed to keep anyone else from being shot. “Don't forget your medicine,” my mum reminded me. I grabbed it off my night stand and headed out the door.
When I reached the gang leader's house, (I followed one of them there) I knocked on the door. Salisha opened the door. The smell of smoke came out from the door and into my nostrils. “I need to speak with your leader.” She thought for a moment, but opened the door for me to come in when a man told her to. “So you must be the girl Sals was talking about,” a man said. He put his beer down on the table and leaned back. “I'm Jayden. The leader.” I looked around. All of the seats were taken, but I wasn't going to be here long. “Why'd you come? Money? Drugs? Booze?” he said, rambling on. “I'm here to stop you.” Jayden chuckled, “You and what army?” he asked, cocking an eyebrow. “I don't need an army to take you down. I've done it many times to other people.” Jayden chuckled again and stood up. “I think you need to relax, and have some fun.” “Fun as in what? Getting laid? Getting drunk? Getting high? Yeah, that all sounds so entertaining,” I spat, stepping away from him. “You need something, 'cause girl, you've got some serious attitude,” he replied. “All I want is for you to be gone.” Jayden looked around as his gang chuckled. “Hell will freeze over before that happens,” he said, becoming more serious. “We'll see who's the one to witness,” I replied, walking to the door. "End it now, or pay for any lives you're about to take, or have taken,” I said, shutting the door behind me. If I had to deal with more deaths, I's be really pissed, and ready to snap. If he such as lays a finger on someone on this neighborhood, I'll shoot him faster then he can say “Mr. Rogers stood there in a blood stained sweater.”.
