It had only become known to Scott recently that he had a baby sister, and by baby I mean they were a year apart. Her name was Lydia and a few years after she was born, she had gone to live with her father upstate so Scott doesn't remember her in the slightest. Scott was only recently told my his mom about her presence as she was coming back to Beacon Hills to live with them for a while, whilst she went away for a while. At first Scott was pretty furious that his mom had kept such a big secret from him, but he quickly understood when he realised how difficult and painful it was for her to give up her only daughter.
Today was the day she was coming home. Scott sat in his desk chair as he watched Stiles (his best friend since kindergarten) pace his room impatiently. "Like honestly dude what if she's a total bitch?" Stiles asked annoyingly as he paced nervously around, as Scott rolled his eyes at him. "Bro we've been over this, if she is well...we'll have to teach her to be better because she has to be friends with our friends, she's my little sister, my mom told me to look after her." Scott said calmly as he turned on his phone for the 100th time that hour, the time read 4:05pm. It had been exactly 10 minutes since he received his last text from his mom saying that Lydia was on her way and to be nice to her.
"So how old would she even be anyway?" Stiles spoke again interrupting his thoughts. "Erm well since there is a year difference and we are 17...she will be 16." Scott concluded in a monotone voice as he spun in the chair out of boredom. "Do you even know what she looks like?" Stiles pestered him with another question which was making him slightly frustrated as he was already nervous as it is. "Dude I told you I have no clue, and for fuck sake will you please stop pacing it's giving me a migraine!" He semi yelled at Stiles and with a huff the tall boy laid down on the bed as he fiddled with his phone nervously. Stiles hated meeting new people. It had been raining all day outside and the weather was only getting worse as a storm was approaching. Which was doing nothing for his growing nerves.
*PING*
There was a loud noise as his phone received another text message. She was here. Stiles sat up from the bed, his eyes wide as they both quickly raced downstairs. Just as they reached the bottom of the stairs there was a loud knock at the door. Scott approached the door slowly with Stiles at his heel, acting like there was a monster behind. They were like two little kids hunting the bogeyman. He grabbed the handle and yanked open the door to find a soaking wet girl behind it. Her hair, which appeared brown, was wet to her head and her clothes clung to her body enough to make Stiles breath hitch in his throat. He hated to admit it but even rain-soaked, this girl was stunning, and her being wet was sending his teenage hormones into a spiral. No. He pushed the thought out of his head.
The boys stood slack jawed in the doorway as they stared at Lydia. She smiled awkwardly at them before speaking. "Well are you going to let me in? Or are you waiting for me to drown?" She asked the pair and in an instant, the boys seemed to snap out of their daze as they stepped aside allowing her to come out of the rain. Every step she took she created little puddles on the hard wooden floor as she dropped her bags next to the door way, nearly slipping as she stepped away from them. "So...hey my name is Lydia, I'm guessing you're my brother then, Mellissa said you was the one with the darker hair." The wet girl spoke softly as she held her hand out for Scott to shake. He stood for a moment, her mention of his mom by her first name throwing him off. He quickly snapped out of his daze and lightly shook her hand. "Hey!...I'm Scott...but you probably already knew that..." he chirped back politely as an awkward silence quickly befell them whilst Lydia gave him a shy smile.
"...Ahem!" Stiles fake coughed next to him as he reminded Scott to introduce them. "Oh shit sorry, erm...Lydia this is Stiles Stilinski! He's my best friend!" Lydia stepped confidently towards the boy who easily towered over her but he refused to meet her gaze. She held out a hand for him and he eventually shook it nonchalantly, like he was afraid to touch her, as he looked more interested by the wooden flooring near his feet. Lydia quickly decided that Stiles was a bit of an ass. Clearly rude. "Wow...you must be the friendly one..." Lydia joked sarcastically which made Scott snort a laugh as he turned to Stiles with a smirk. Stiles on the other hand was not amused in the slightest, as he pressed his tongue into the inside of his cheek. "Only to people I actually like." Stiles retorted back coldly with a fake smile, which earned him a glare off Scott. "I'm sorry about him...he struggles communicating with...girls...or anyone actually." Scott joked back, making Lydia laugh, to which Stiles rolled his eyes with a groan.
