22.Mixed emotions

When I arrived at the clinic, accompanied by Bart who was guiding me with his hand behind my back, I saw Helena sitting in the waiting room, but she was not alone.
I recognised him immediately from behind, it was Colin.
How did he know about all the visits I was making? There was bad blood with Helena, so I had ruled out the possibility of her passing on information.

"I said coldly to both of them, I was annoyed by Helena's behaviour and she knew it very well.

(POV Colin)

As soon as I saw her come in my heart went into my throat, seeing her with him meant I had to cancel my partnership and future father.
I immediately stood up as soon as I heard her coldness towards her friend "she had nothing to do with it, I called the doctor personally to find out when you were going to have your appointment" I tried to save the only person who still trusted me and was on my side, but she wasn't in a good mood and it was written all over her face "that's really how it was" I repeated before setting my eyes on Bart.
I couldn't stand that man, his unsolicited presence always out of place.
How could he know more about my daughter than I did?
"They're calling us," the man whispered, staring at the doctor who had come out of her room to seat us.
"I'll come with you" he said resolutely, I decided not to impose myself, I just decided to look into her eyes, the same eyes that made us lose our heads, that made us get to that moment there and for the first time I heard Julianne's voice: "no..it's right that the father should come."She turned to Bart after saying that and took his face in her hands, "wait here..." I sighed loudly at that image in front of me, if I could I would have destroyed everything in front of me, but at that moment my son was more important.

I set off and went in with the doctor then Julianne joined us, obviously I wasn't happy about the situation and you could understand that perfectly, I was suffering like a dog, I had stopped taking care of myself aesthetically because that period was creating such a big hole in my heart that I couldn't think about such trivial things anymore.

"Well..the moment of truth has arrived..." said the doctor as she worked on Julianne's stomach.
I had decided not to even look at her, at that moment I was too much resentful, with me, with her, with our decisions, but all this collapsed after hearing the doctor: "well...this is the heart of your baby..." I was as excited as a child and I couldn't hold myself back, I got up slowly approaching the bed, I had a dumb smile on my face that spoke for me, but someone else was particularly excited too...I lowered my gaze and we exchanged more than a thousand words, all the ones we hadn't said to each other, I felt everything, resentment, love, passion, anger - "well...this beautiful little girl seems to have got her nose from her daddy!" at that very moment I smiled and a tear ran down my face then Julianne squeezed my hand and there, at that very moment, the world stopped for a few moments, I could only hear my own heartbeat and everything around me was muffled, there was us and our eyes making love.
I squeezed tighter then she whispered, "Let's hope that's all she got from you..." she winked a smile and I couldn't help but follow it up by smiling back.
"Well then...see you in a month, make sure you don't abuse chocolate as it could cause complications." The doctor left us with those words, we were still holding hands, laughing like two teenagers "Since when did you start drinking chocolate?" I whispered as I helped her off the couch "...since we're alone...it's lack of affection..." I started to breathe heavily, it was time to talk, to clarify, I missed her so much, as soon as I turned around I saw Bart enter "get out, I'll take care of this" I told him annoyed by his useless intervention "First of all you decide who you want."I was so angry I couldn't see anymore. "I don't want to have to send you to the hospital and ruin this beautiful moment." I looked at him as if to challenge him, he had to understand that he was in the way.guys please..we are quiet for once..please..." I didn't take my eyes off him, but he didn't do the same, he turned around and went to congratulate her "come on..there's another beautiful girl here.." he touched her belly and that was the climax, he shouldn't have done it.
I immediately took his hand away and pushed him, "You need to get the fuck out of here." Julianne realised I wasn't myself and immediately stepped in between positioning herself across from me, eyes to eyes "quiet...quiet..." she whispered knowing full well she was the only one who had that power over me, Bart took a step back and from his lips I could tell he hadn't been happy with my attitude.
