I Have A Crush On A Monster Boy

What's going on!?

It was now the middle of the school year and I was just dying for summer to come. Rin took my seat in class due to that promise of, "protecting" me. I haven't been able to talk to Gumiya for two months now and it's killing me. He looks so lonely. I really wish I could just go up to him but Rin and the others are preventing me from seeing him.
I mean, they drag me everywhere and crowd around me. And they made it clear to Gumiya to not come near. I mean, they have threatened him. Iroha and Mayu have done a far share of chasing him. Which got them famous in being brave enough to do that from kids in our school. It's sick.
The bell rang and then Meiko Sensei came in with a string of new students. Wait, what!?
"Class, we have some new students here today so please show them your biggest welcome here. This is Yohio, IA, Aoki Lapis, and Galaco." She said, pointing down to each student. Everyone greeted them in unison, and then, the boy who I assume is Yohio, saw Gumiya and smiled at him while waving.
"Gumiya-kun! Hisashiburi(long time no see)!" He greeted and started to walk over towards him. Then, the other people smiled and started to surround Gumiya too.
"Gumiya-kun, you won't believe how crazy things have been lately at the society. Nowadays there seem to be more demo..." Yohio started but stopped when the intimidating dark green haired girl named Sonika punched him in the back of the head and whispered furiously,
"Baka! Don't say things like that in front of humans!"
"Hehe, gomene." Yohio said nervously as he started to rub his head.
Then, a girl with long light hair, with a small braid, moved into the empty seat behind him. IA. She then leaned close to him and I felt a pain of jealously in my stomach.
"Too close." I thought.
"Nee, Gumiya, how are you feeling? Has it surfaced yet? Or, has is it still asleep?" She asked.
"I'm fine. It hasn't surfaced yet for a year. It should be fine. I'm normal now. I'm human." Gumiya said back.
"Youkata(I'm glad). Hey, how are my Mom and Dad? Are they ok? I've noticed more and more of THEM have been crawling around town lately. Have my parents been able to keep up with the rising activity?" IA asked as all the other exchange students were closing in on them, listening.
"Yeah. Vy1 & Vy2 have been well. The old man keeps saying how much fun it's been. They aren't the best Demon Eaters for nothing. They have ungodly strength." Gumiya said reassuringly to IA.
"Perfect. Oh, how's Tei doing? My little sister. I understand she has trouble with keeping in her anger and lets it get out of hand. I worry about her."
"She's fine. Getting better at keeping her anger down. So you don't have to worry. She is getting big." Gumiya reassured IA again. Yet, I can't quite follow.
"Good, she is a real sweet heart despite her bad side. Thanks for the update. It's been two years since I last saw them when I was last stationed here. So, this is first year high scool right?"
"Yea. Well, you guys should sit down now. Look." Gumiya said pointing out towards the whole class that was looking at them like they were crazy.
"Oh dear." said the blue haired girl named Aoki Lapis.
"Well, guess I gotta make a memory erasing spell huh?" said the Brunette and rainbow colored haired girl named Galaco, as she stretched her arms out.
"Goo..." Started IA, but stopped when all of sudden there was this immense pressure and then rumble.
She scrunched up her face and growled,
"They found us. Galaco!"
"Hai!"
"Get everyone out of here and make sure replace their memories. This did not happen! Understood!?" IA commanded.
"Hai! Wakata(understood)!" Everybody out! Gumiya, help me!" Galaco said as she and Gumiya began to herd people out.
"Aoki! Make a shield around this room and then this floor!" IA instructed.
"Hai!" Aoki answered and then closed her eyes, and lifted up her arms. Then, a blue light surrounded the room.
"Yohio! Sonika! You stay with me! We have some unwanted guests." IA growled again as she stood ready in front of the window with Yohio and Sonika standing on her left and right side. I stared at them with awe until I felt someone grab my wrist.
I quickly looked up and saw Gumiya.
"Gumiya? What's going on!?" I asked; terrified.
"No time to explain. Hurry up and get out of here." He ordered as he pulled me out of my seat, rushing us out the door. But I looked back one last time and the last thing I saw was the window explode. Spitting out millions of glass shards.
When Gumiya got us out, I was pushed towards my shaking classmates as a golden, transparent box surrounded us; illuminating a warm glow. Galaco had her hands up towards us; most likely one creating the box.
This isn't real. This isn't happening. Life isn't like an anime or manga. Then, why is this happening? I looked up and saw my surroundings and knew, though this isn't normal, it's real.
I then saw Gumiya and he was talking to Galaco. He looked distressed and I wanted to help him. So I then got up and started to bang on the golden barrier.
"Gumiya! Gumiya! What's going on!? Tell me! I want to help! Gumiya!" I screamed.
He then saw me and walked towards where I stood on the other side of the barrier. Another thing keeping us apart.
"Gumi-san." Gumiya said, pain in his voice.
"Gumiya. You're ok. I'm glad." I said with relief.
"Gumi-san, forgive. Please. I'm so sorry to have brought you into this mess. I never wanted this to happen I swear." Gumiya Choked out, tears coming from his eyes. He was frustrated.
"Gumiya, nakanaide kudasai(please don't cry). Daijoubu daiyou(it's alright)." I comforted him.
" Gumi-san, gomenesai. Gumi, I promise next time I'll do a better job at protecting you from this. Please don't hate me." He begged.
"Gumiya, I'll never hate you. I couldn't hate you even if I wanted to. I... you're my best friend." I said with a smile. He then smiled back a weak smile.
"Hontou desuka(really)?" He asked hope in his voice.
"Hai. I'm positive." I confirmed.
"Then, we'll hopefully meet again.soon. Right?"
"Hai! Definitely." I said with all certainty.
"Youkata(I'm glad). Galaco, you can do it now." Gumiya said to her. She gave a nod to him and then, there was a bright flash; followed by darkness.
When I came back, I found myself drooling on my desk as I was in class again.
I lifted up my head quickly and looked around. Everything was back to normal and everyone was listening to Meiko Sensei lecture. Then, I saw Gumiya and the other new students in their seats taking notes.
What just happened? Did I fall asleep? Was all that just a dream? Yet, why did it feel so real? I looked over to my right and saw Rin taking notes.
Leaning towards her, I whispered,
"Rin, what just happened?"
"Hmmmm? Oh, nothing really. The new students were introduced and then we immediately started todays lesson. Nande(why)?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I guess it was all a dream then." I said.
"ooookaaaay? Well, you better start writing. You missed a lot of material during your nap. So better start writing." Rin brushed off.
"Urk!" I began to write quickly trying to catch up with everyone but I just couldn't help but think about what just happened. Even though nobody remembers it, it did happen. I'm sure of it. It was all too real. What's going on?
