Gumi's P.O.V.
As I walked out of my room, I saw Tei leaning against the wall in front of me with her eyes closed and arms crossed.
"Tei-chan?" I said softly. My voice was steady but my green eyes were still red and puffy from crying.
Tei looked up at me with big ruby eyes and asked,
"Are you going to do it?"
"Nani(what)?"
"The plan. Are you going to do it?"
"I don't know Tei-chan. I don't know." I said weakly, fighting back tears as I just smiled at her. She then began to cry herself and threw her self into my arms. I started to pet Tei's soft silky silver hair as I tried comforting her,
"Daijoubu(it's alright). Shinpai shinaide(don't worry)."
"Onee-san, please don't do it. Find another way that'd save both you and Onii-chan." Tei cried into my chest.
"Hai. I won't do the plan. I will find another way that would save everyone. ok?" I told her. She looked up at me and smiled with her ruby eyes looking just little red.
"Haaaaaaai(yes)!" Tei sang as she squeezed me once more before running off somewhere.
Walking into the living room I saw Gumiya laying on the floor playing a video game with Yuuma on the couch. Gumiya must've heard me come in because once he saw me, he beat Yuuma at their game.
He then started to come my way leaving Yuuma behind as he was having a little melt down.
Remembering what Lily told me about staying away from Gumiya, I began to turn and walk towards the opposite direction; ignoring Gumiya.
Gumiya grabbed my wrist and stopped me. Oh no.
"Nee, Gumi-san, daijoubu(are you alright)?" He asked worried.
"H-hai. Daijoubu(I'm alright)." I stuttered nervously.
"You sure? I don't believe you." Gumiya said as he leaned in close to me. Examining me. He's so close!
"I told I'm fine. I'm just daydreaming again." I lied. Gumiya looked at me like he didn't believe me but gave up. Probably knowing I'm too stubborn.
"So what are you doing right now? Wanna go out? I mean, if you're not busy or have plans with the girls. Or Yohio." Gumiya said his face red. I felt my heart pound in my chest and my face had a hint of pink on it. I know I should say no and listen to Lily but I can't. My body won't allow me to separate from Gumiya. So, it just answered on it's own.
"No! I mean yes! I-I'd love to go out with you." My face then turned red and I looked down embarrassed. Gumiya smiled and laughed as he ruffled my hair.
"Hehe, Ikou(let's go)." He said and grabbed my hand leading me out the door. It was big, warm, and gentle. I could just hold onto it forever.
When we went out, he went to the side of the house and pulled out a motorcycle.
"When did you start riding a bike?"
"Hmmm? For a while now I guess." He said as he put on his goggles and a helmet. He then threw me an extra one towards me and I put my own goggles on and strapped on the helmet.
He got on and started it.
"Come on. Get on." He said kindly. I did so and hesitantly wrapped my arms around his waist. He was so warm as I felt his body heat and I got comfortable immediately.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Ready." I answered. Squeezing him tightly.
"Here we go." Gumiya cheered as he sped off.
The ride was pleasant since the day was so nice out. A cool summer day. It was pretty too. No matter how many times I've walked these streets and seen the shops, I've always adored it.
"Nee, Gumi-san, what did Lily-sama say to you?" Gumiya asked.
"Huh? Oh, I'm in. I also start my training soon. Which won't be bad. I already know many things. But I'm really happy. My life is just like an anime now. Hehe." I said with a false cheeriness. Hoping that Gumiya won't notice because of the wind and roaring of the bike's engine.
"Cool." He said and he kept on focusing on the road. I kept close to him and just watched the buildings and trees pass by in a blur.
Once we found a parking space, Gumiya and I started to walk around the city's shopping districts. It was as lively as ever with shops and vendors calling out for customers. People shopping and talking. The smell of food in the air. There was also so much color making it very beautiful.
As Gumiya and I were walking, I saw a book store. I begged him to let me go and there, I went and bought a bunch of manga with the money I got from my house on the way here.
Then, we went to McDonalds and Gumiya bought lunch for us. It was so good(But nothing can beat Tei's cooking).
Then, I saw a toy store with bunch of adorable plushies and I begged him to let me go.
He did and I went inside.Even though it was packed with a bunch of younger kids, I didn't care. This store not only has toys but anime related things. So I was all in.
I then found a studio Ghibli section and went there.
I was debating which doll I should get a No Face doll from Spirited Away or Calsafer from Howl's Moving Castle. There was also a Jiji doll from Kiki's Delivery Service
that was cute. Gawd, I'm such an indecisive Otaku.
Just then I saw a little girl in a red dress and her dark hair in short pigtails. She was no more than seven and so she was too short to reach a Totoro plush.
I then grabbed it for her and handed it to her. She began to jump up and down as she beamed and thanked me. Kawaii.
"Onee-san, Arigatou."
"Yuki? Doko ni iru no(where are you)?" Yelled man with glasses and looked like a school teacher.
"Uncle, mite, mite(look look). Totoro." the little girl cheered. The man smiled at his niece and ruffled her hair.
"You choose him?"
"Un!"
"Alright, I'll get him for you." Then, both the man and little girl left, paying for the doll.
She was so cute. When I get married, I know it's weird, but I want to have four kids of my own and have a singing career. Along with the job as a voice actress.
"That was very kind of you Gumi-san." Gumiya said from behind. I squeaked and turned towards him. Feeling a little guilty about forgetting him.
"Oh, hey. Gomen(sorry). I forgot about you. I was too into my debate. I don't know what doll I should get." I said looking down at all the plushies in my arms. Gumiya looked at them then grabbed them all and left for to go check them all out.
"Huh!? Gumiya-kun. You don't have to pay for them. I'll buy them myself. It's 3,000 yen(equivalent to 30 U.S. dollars) right there. That's too much." I said feeling guilty. Why is he doing this?
"It's alright. Don't worry about it. I'm here for you anyway." Gumiya smiled at me and began to pay. For me? Did he really do that for me? Does he like me? No. That can't be it. We're just friends. Right? We're just here hanging out together. Or, is this.really a date? I want it to be a date but then again, friends by each other stuff all the time. Gyaaaaa! I want to tell him so bad. Tell him that I love him but I can't. The time isn't right.
"Here." Gumiya said handing me the bag.
"A-Arigatou. Nee, Gumiya-kun, do you like videogames?" I asked. Still blushing from what he did. I gotta pay him back. The guilt is killing me.
"Of course. Do you?"
"I love them! Let's go to an arcade. I'm paying though!Don't you dare argue." I demanded. He then smiled nervously and agreed.
We stayed at the arcade for hours until I spent 3,000 yen on, Gumiya and felt the weight leave my chest. Then, on the rest of the way home, Gumiya and I talked about just random things and I even ended up telling him everything there is to know about me. When I mentioned how my birthday was the same day as his, he smiled and got excited.
He is so sweet. I wish he had more friends but I sorta love having all his attention. Call me greedy.
As we walked inside the house, Gumiya said,
" Tadaima(I'm home)!" But, instead of getting a welcome back, a bunch of knives were thrown and dug in his chest.
"Gumiya!" I yelled as I knelt beside him, crying.
He smiled with blood coming from his mouth and wounds. Then, he gave me a thumbs up.
"I'm ok. Tei's just upset. She does this whenever I made her mad. Also, I can't die remember. These wounds will heal immediately. So don't worry. Also, can you pull the knife out with letter first? I see your name on it." Gumiya said pointing at a knife in his right shoulder where a letter was. Luckily only the top right corner had blood on it and not the writing. So it was still illegible.
"What does it say?" Gumiya asked as he started pulling out the knives, Complaining about how the clean up is going to be a pain.
" Oh. She is mad at you for leaving. Kawaii(cute). And that my,training starts tomorrow. I'm going to learn about a bunch of cool stuff. I'll be able to learn how to do spells, use a sixth sense to detect sprits and demons, and strengthen myself and power. Cool. I can't wait." I said excitedly. Gumiya smiled up at me as he winced when he pulled out the last knife.
"I'm happy for you. Haaaaa. Time to start cleaning." Gumiya, said as he got up with his wounds already healed.
"Let me help you." I offered.
"You sure?"
"Of course."
"Heh. Arigatou."
"Don't mention it." I said. So, I helped Gumiya clean and ended up just hanging out with him as we played Videogames(Which I beat him at.Hehe) and had a good time with him. Knowing, that after today, I won't be able to be carefree anymore. But for now, I'm happy right here beside Gumiya laughing with him. I love his smile. His laugh. I love him. I love him so much. I will make sure he continues to live and smile.
