George perked up from next to Clay as the sounds of the village got louder around them. He excitedly turned to Clay "I know the way from the gates" George tugged on Clay's arm as he scurried around fruit vendors and bakeries. Soon enough they arrived at a small cottage between a few other houses. George reached for the door and pushed it open, revealing a simple yet beautifully home. "My friends Nick and Wilbur helped me decorate my house, they often stop by and bring me baclava and help water my plants." His face lit up at the mention of his friends. Clay pulled down his hood, revealing his golden hair and bright green eyes. His hair could shift into terrifying snakes when he wanted it to, but for the most part he disguised himself as a normal human to avoid problems. He followed George deeper into the house "Your home is beautiful George." George blushed softly next to him and muttered a soft thank you. Clay smiled to himself when he saw he had gotten a rise out of the brunet. He brushed his fingers softly against George's arm as he whispered gently "Would you like me to start preparing dinner?" George's face grew redder as he fumbled with his hands for a few seconds before nodding quickly.

Clay placed down the plates of stifado (a type of stew) on the table along with two glasses of wine. George gladly picked up the bowl in front of him and started to eat, a giddy look on his face. Clay smiled softly at the expression on the boy's face before he frowned, realizing this must have been the first warm meal he had eaten since his friends stopped by to make him a proper meal. After George had nearly licked the bowl clean, he felt around for Clay's hand before speaking, "Clay that was delicious thank you, it must be getting dark by now, please, stay the night, it's the least I can do after all you've done for me." Clay's eyes widened and his face turned a deep red as he brushed his fingers over George's hand "Alright...thank you for the kind offering."
