I was trying to cross the street, I was going to get medicine for my grandmother. The only thing I could remember was seeing this big bright yellow bus coming my way then I woke up but I was not in a hospital bed. When I woke up there were two figures hovering over me, one was big and gray. It had these huge towering wings and 8 different eyes, It looked terrifying. It was a mixture of gray and black. To the other side of me there was another figure but this one was a dark red, It had horns growing out of the side of it's head, It had this black hair and a tail. It had wings as well but they were not as big and it was holding a staff. I assumed that was a demon and so I figured that would make the other one an angel. The demon bent over and started to reach out it's hand. The angel did the same. I was terrified of the angle but I felt comfort in the demon. I know that was completely backwards but it was how I felt. I sat, pondering. My mother always told me about how bad hell was. She would tell me stories of people who have been there but they never made sense. If you're in hell you're dead, so how could you tell the living your stories? I decided I would go with the angle because I knew if I didn't like it I could always do something horrific and get banished.
The angle helped me get up and started walking me towards this bright light. It was blinding and bright. "Are you sure this is where we have to go?" I asked, but the angel didn't respond. It just looked at me over its shoulder and nodded. I kept following it until we got to the light, the angle pulled me in and we stood there. I was waiting for something to happen, a noise or a gust of wind but instead nothing. We stood there for a few seconds then we walked out. When we walked out and I looked around there were clouds, lots of fluffy clouds. The angle let go of my hand and I was expecting to fall, but I didn't. Instead I was able to walk on the clouds. I was so shocked. I didn't know what to do. Was I really dead? I couldn be right? I didn't get hit that hard but if this is what death is like I'm alright with dying.
We were greeted by a lady. She had brown hair and these big fluffy off white wings. They were covered in feathers. She had gray eyes and white hair. The angel that had led me here disappeared when this lady had found me. She asked me, "What is your name? I'm Michelle. I am one of the guides here in the overworld. I am here to show you where to go."
I responded with, "My name is Aura, and what do you mean 'overworld'? I thought this was heaven?"
"I suppose this is what the earth dwellers call heaven? I'm not exactly sure but this is where you go after you die if you've been a 'good' or 'exceptional' being." She explained.
"That is what we call heaven but how did I end up here? Why was I able to choose? I thought you were automatically assigned where you go. I didn't think you had a choice?" I questioned.
She responded with an explanation I had never heard of before, "Well usually you do. You are a special occasion. Since you died so young and weren't able to be considered 'good' or 'bad' you were able to choose where you go. Usually people are automatically assigned but that is why you were not." she continued, "Now if you follow me I will show you where you're supposed to go. Here in the overworld you get your own custom living space. When you die it is accustomed to your desire so when you arrive in the overworld you can be brought there first thing."
I wasn't sure how to feel about this but I decided to follow her. She reached out her hand to grab mine. Her hands were pale and soft, I felt so safe. I mean I suppose you were supposed to feel safe in heaven but I didn't think it would be this nice. It didn't take long for us to get there but once we did she gave me a key. The key was brown. I used it to open the door to my room. Once I did I told her bye and walked inside. The room was everything I had ever wanted, It was amazing. In the corner of the room there was a black desk with a laptop and a beautiful brown lamp. The lamp had writing on it. The writing was korean. The walls were black and covered in paintings. On one wall there was a huge picture of this beautiful fox with mushrooms all around it. There were led lights all across the top of the room. In another corner there was a desk filled with plants. There were mushrooms, flowers, and vines. They were beautiful. My bed was on a shelf I suppose you would call it? There was a ladder leading up to my bed. It was on a podium. The bed was huge and it looked too comfortable, I couldn't wait to sleep in it. It just looked so soft. I walked over to my bed and sat in it. I sank, it was so comfortable. I never wanted to leave but I knew eventually I would have to. This was great. It was everything I had ever wanted. I was so happy but then a sudden feeling of doubt started to strike me. What if none of this was actually happening? WHat if it was all about to go away? I didn't want to lose this. It was the first thing to make me this happy in so long. It was everything I could ever imagine wanting. I saw my door start to crack open, I figured it was just Michelle again but it was not. Instead it was a man. He had on a white robe, he had these huge fluffy wings almost like the guider had but bigger. He had brown hair as well. It was cut short, almost like a buzz cut but not exactly.
"Hey," he said, "Are you Aura?"
"Yes? Is there something you need?" I replied.
"Yeah actually, I need you to come with me." He demanded.
I sat wondering why I would need to go with him but then decided that I would go. We started to walk down to this door. It was a brown door. He demanded that I walk through it so I did. The next thing I knew was I sat up in a hospital bed. My family was staring at me in shock. "She's alive? Guys she woke up!" My auntie screamed with joy. Everyone started to rush over towards me.
