"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes." I sighed. "I'm sure." I turned my head to see him.
I want to remember every part of his face. Every wrinkle, scar, every millimeter.
He looked through the windshield directly in front of him. I didn't even notice that he had grown a slight stubble. How could I not notice? Anyway, it looks good. Slightly neglected, but good.
"When does your plane leave?" He said in a firm voice.
"In a few minutes. I should go now." I reached for the handle and opened the door, getting out of the car I headed for the trunk.

At the time, I didn't even know how wrong I was.

"Are you okay?" I heard a familiar girl's voice next to me.
"What do you think?" I raised an eyebrow and looked at Lily. A small, eleven-year-old girl who has gorgeous raven hair. Adorable red cheeks and bright blue eyes that she has after her father.
I folded my arms across my chest and looked at the small figure in front of me.
"I'm really sorry." She clasped her hands behind her back and looked at the ground. "I just wanted to change the Halloween costume." She muttered under her nose.
"Halloween was months ago. Here." Lily looked up at me and I threw a white towel at her. "Go clean up that fake blood in the living room before your..."
"I'm home!" We both froze.
"Shit." I looked at Lily in fright. "You go down first."
"What the hell is this!" We heard screams from the living room.
