It feels like my legs is giving up on me. How far until I reach the station? I can't let anyone see me. Not like this. Tears started to form on Shinichi's eyes until all he could see was a haze. "The train heading from Ekoda to Beika will be arriving soon on Track 2, please move behind the yellow line." The announcement echoed. "I guess I made it in time" I exhaled before letting myself inside the train. "The doors are closing." I hope I don't run into anyone here. Before I knew it, the tears that was forming in my eyes fell. No. I have to hold on until I get home. I looked up and saw a familiar face.
Why now of all time.
"Make sure you go check up on Kudou while you're there! I heard he's been down lately." A girl with osakan dialect can be heard from the phone. "Yes, I will." the dark skin detective sigh and hung up the phone. Seriously Kudou being gloomy? That's unheard of. "The doors are opening on the right side." I wonder how long until I reach there. Wait a minute isn't that Kudou? Heiji looked to the doors and saw Shinichi barely keeping it together. "Speak of the devil.." He tried to approach the distressed detective. "Ku-" Heiji saw tears running down the detective's eyes. Heiji immediately kneeled down and ask Shinichi what's wrong. "Yo what's wrong? You okay?" but none of the responses seem to grabbed the detective's attention. It was silent for a while until the detective looked up with a surprised expression.

And with that Shinichi hesitated for a while before finally opening up to Heiji about the events that happened today. "Sounds bad.. but Kudou are you sure you're not misunderstanding the situation? You did say that you both are dating. I'm sure he wouldn't cheat on you." Heiji reassures Shinichi. Suddenly a ringtone can be heard vibrating from Shinichi's pocket. The detective took his phone out to see who called him right now. It was Kaito. Shinichi ignored the call but Heiji give him a look to answer. "Alright fine." Shinichi sighs picking the phone up and sliding the answer button. "Hello? Shinichi? I'm sorry you had to see that, it's all a big misunderstanding I can explain to you everything. I want to say that-" it was interrupted as they got into a tunnel and back out again "-it's over alright?" The call ended. What did he mean it's over? Shinichi stood up and held on his phone tightly. "Arriving at Beika, doors are opening on the right side." The train's speaker echoed as Shinichi dropped his phone before walking away. At this point he just wants to go home. He ignored Heiji's calls and his memory of this event was nothing but a haze. All he remembered was going straight back to his bed when he arrived home. When he woke up from his nap he found a cracked phone beside the table on his kitchen with a note. It says 'I'm sorry to what happened today, I grabbed your phone that you dropped. Unfortunately the screen cracked. This is all I can do for now, please get better soon - Hattori Heiji :)' with a can of iced coffee beside the note. I'm glad to have Heiji as a friend. I smiled, opening the can of coffee before chugging it down.

That night Shinichi kept drinking a lot of alcohol he had left over at the kitchen. He miss those kisses that reek of alcohol. The kiss that drove him insane. A kiss from the thief covered in white, his rival, his lover and his everything. He miss him so much it drove him to drink more until he just couldn't take it anymore. "I'll keep drinking until I taste that same kiss you gave me." "Maybe if I didn't listen to Sonoko's plans and stayed home, maybe our relationship would still be here and I would be able to come over to his house as usual right? But then again I did tell him to put some distance between us.... Agh all of this is so complicated!" Shinichi said frustratingly. He took out his phone and opened his contacts. "Ku..ro.. ba.. there it is. Kuroba Kaito" he touched the name and a message box pops up. He started typing each letter while trying to keep it legible as possible "conme obver i midss yoiu" and sent.

"Everything is a mess now!" Aoko said annoyingly "I know it isnt supposed to turn out this way. Everything is my fault I'm sorry." Kaito replied to the brunette "Bakaito don't blame yourself for this it's okay. Here you dropped your phone when you fell on top of me" Aoko blushed remembering the scene and handed Kaito his phone. "Call him. Don't just stare at me like that. Bakaito." Aoko walked out of the house "I have places to be so good luck. Also maybe it's better that you chase him now he might not have gone far." Kaito stared before getting up running towards the door and into the street heading towards the station. "Please be there" Kaito prayed.
He arrived at the station only to find that the train has closed it's doors. Running towards the train, Kaito looked into the windows of the train to find Shinichi but was too late. "Damn it I missed it." Kaito ruffled his hair with his hand. Guess I have to call him. Turning on his phone he touched the recent contacts and dialed. "Brr... brr... brr... brr.." Kaito began to feel impatient fidgeting his feet before a sudden click can be heard. "Hello? Shinichi? I'm sorry you had to see that, it's all a big misunderstanding I can explain to you everything. I want to say that all that happened just now was a misunderstanding! I slipped on my magic equipment and both Aoko and I ended up in that position. I assure you that neither Aoko or me see each other that way anymore. Aoko has someone she's seeing already. I'll make up to you alright? Tonight I'll come over to your place so we can discuss once all of this is over. Alright. I lo-" The phone hung itself. "Hello? Shinichi? You there?" Kaito called out before looking at his phone's lockscreen indicating the phone call has ended. He sighed, "I screwed up big time huh? I'll skip today's lectures and maybe get myself some hot chocolate." He walked to a nearest cafe and went straight home.

"Kudou! You left your phone! OI Kudou!" I called to him a few times but seems like he's not paying me any attention at all. I picked up his phone and examined it. The screen is cracked all over, I'll go return it to him. Oh right Kudou likes coffee, I know this isn't much but at least it's something. The detective picked up a can of iced coffee he bought from the vending machine. Alright I think these are enough. And with that the detective head straight to Shinichi's house. It took me a while to reach but here I am. I went to his house a couple of times before but this is huge. Heiji admires the house before walking to the front door. 'Knock' 'Knock' "Anyone home?" Heiji knocks the doors a few time to receive no answer. "Guess I'll let myself in" He turns the door knob and went inside the house. Wasting no time he went to a coffee table and placed Shinichi's phone alongside the iced coffee. "Oh I should write a note" Heiji thought to himself and as he was done with that. He left the Kudou residence.
