"Wait, san tayo pupunta?" tanong ni carmeen saaming dalawan ni cee.

"We'll meet someone."

"What? ayoko ng blind dates, its not my thing and besidesㅡ"

"Hindi 'to blindate okay? Basta sumama ka saamin." Sabi ni cee.

Its dismissal time and we grabbed carmeen. May pupuntahan kasi kaming tatlo, i mean siya pala, ihahatid lang namin dun.

"Teka, teka, pwede bitawan mo ako cee?"

"Ay oo nga noh, hehehe. sarreh." bigla namang binitawan ni cee si carmeen, sumakay kami ng taxi at pumunta sa ice cream shop malapit sa mall.

"Maga-ice cream lang pala tayo, di nyo pa sinabi,"

We entered the ice cream shop. nasa bandang dulo siya.

"Di ba tayo oorder?"

"Mamaya na lang."

Nakarating na kami sa isang table, at nandoon siya nakatalikod.

"Teka," humarap si ashton saamin.

"Ashton?" sabi ni carmeen.

"We'll leave you, talk. Dyan lang kami sa pangatlong table."

Third Person's POV

"Take a sit." sabi ni ashton, alinlangan namang inabot ni carmeen ang upuan sa harap nito.

There was a long silence between them. But after a few minutes ashton talked, "Sorry."

"Sorry for being a jerk, all this time." Sabi ni ashton ng hindi tumitingin kay carmeen. "Sorry for causing you pain. And sorry sa mga salitang binitawan ko sa'yo."

"Sorry din, after all ako naman ang may kasalanan kung bakit ka naging ganon saakin. I said things towards sheina, and i regret it. But, Ashton..." tumingin na si ashton kay carmeen, they we're both sincere while looking at each other's eyes.

"I won't ruin anything between you and sheina. I won't do anything. Believe me."

"I believe you, dont worry."

"Thank you." Carmeen smiled, its a relief. "And sorry kung, nairita o naasar ka sakin, when i came back here." Carmeen slight smile.

"No, sorry, really iam. I judge you easily and it turns out that we used to be bestfriends." carmeen gave an akward smile, hearing the words, 'used to be bestfriends'

"And about your confession back thenㅡ"

"Can we not talk about that? Baka bigla akong tumakbo palabas at umuwi pabalik ng Australia." carmeen smiled with her teeth showing like a kid, pleasing someone to give her a piece of candy.

"Sorry," sabi ni ashton at ngumiti.

"Don't worry, makaka-move on din ako sa'yo. Ill have my boyfriend, you'll see. Mas pogi at mas mabait sa'yo."

"Be sure then. Dadaan muna lahat sakin ng manliligaw mo." wika ni ashton at sumandal sa sandalan ng upuan at nag crossed arms.

Napangiti naman si carmeen, that was exactly the words ashton said to her nung mga bata pa sila.

"Okay?" pangaasar na tono ni carmeen. Hindi katulad kanina na awkward pa ang atmosphere it seems like the mood changed, they think they're both okay already. Nakakatawa na silang dalawa.

"So, are we okay?" tanong ni ashton. Tumango naman si carmeen. "can we go back to what we used to be?" sabi ni ashton at inabot kay carmeen ang isang pamiliar na supot ng candy.

"Are you sure?" ngumiti lang si ashton, "thank you," kinuha ni carmeen ang lollipop sa loob sinawsaw ito at sinubo, "ahhh." Nilabas ni carmeen ang dila na parang bata at pinakinggan ang pagputok ng candy sa kanyang dila.

Napatawa na lamang si ashton sa inasal ng dalaga. Lumunok sa carmeen at seryosong tumingin kay ashton at itinabi ang candy sa gilid.

"we can never be the same and go back to what we used to be. May mga changes, we both changed, many people came into our own lives already. " Carmeen gave ashton a smile, "the best thing we could be is to be friends."

"You really changed. You've grown already, you're not that childsih meenami i've met back then."

"Im still a crybaby, though. So, friends?" inabot ni carmeen ang kamay, ashton gladly accepted it.

"Friends."

"okay na ata sila." sabi ni cee sa harap ko habang kumakain ng pangwalong scoop na order ng blueberry cheesecake.

"Then that's good." sabi ko at sumubo ng cookie dough ice cream.

Naramdaman naming lumapit sina ashton sa table namin, "we're done." sabi ni ashton na katabi ko.

"Goood." sabi ko at tumango tango sakanya.

"Carmeeeen, tara order tayo ng ice cream niyo." sabi ni cee at hinila si carmeen.

"Yanna,"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you."

"For what?" kunot noo kong tanong.

"For making me realize that i lost an important person in my life. Thank you because you made me move to save our friendship."

"Don't thank me okay? And besides, i've let you decide if you can make things out again. I didn't force you, its still your choice. And im glad you made the right choice." I smiled at the thought.

"But, thank you, really." ngumiti na lang ako at nagpatuloy sa pagkain.

We didnt left the place agad we had some talks and its good to see that carmeen and ashton is already in good terms. And it makes me happy that somehow, i helped the both of them and im the reason why they're okay now. Good Job, sheina. Good Job.
