Chapter 9: Late Hangout

ALYANNA SHEINA

"Drop it ashton, hindi nga pwede." sabi ko atsaka pumunta sa kusina para kumuha ng natirang pizza kagabi.

"But whyyyy?" tanong pa niya.

"Hindi ako papayagan ni mommy." sabi ko at uminom ng tubig.

He's been asking me- well, kanina kaming tatlo nina cee na pumunta sa opening ng bar ni tita margarette (tita ni ashton). The two said yes already at ako na lang ang hindi.

Actually, i badly want because tita called and asked me and i miss chatting with her. Im not sure kung makakapunta ako kaya i said, 'ill try tita.' But then i realized never pa akong pinayagan ni mommy or ni daddy sa late hang-outs like partying sa bar.

Im glad ashton stopped mocking me. He has this serious face habang nagta-type. Kinain ko ang huling slice ng pizza. And im done, pero si ashton is still on his phone. Naghugas ako sa sink. Im busy staring at ashton. Ive never been so curious like this. Sino ba yung ka-text niya sa phone at sobra siya kung maka-ngiti?

Umalis na ako ng kitchen at dumiretso sa sala at nanood ng t.v. Nagulat naman ako ng tumalon paupo si ashton sa tabi ko.

"Your problem's done." kumunot ang noo ko, bigla niyang iwinagayway ang cellphone niya sa harap ko.

At doon ko nakitang open ang viber niya. "Anong gagawin ko dyan?"

"Why dont you try reading it?" sabi niya at pinahawak sakin ang phone niya.

Ashton Rivera: Hi tita! its ashton. I know its late there sa states, and im very sorry tita. You see, opening po kasi ng bar ni tita margarette tonight. She invited us to come over. She invited Yanna po. Okay lang po ba?

Caroline Ferrer: Oh hi ashton, long time no talk. No, its okay. We're still up here because of works. Its totally fine with me because i trust Alyanna and ofcourse you, hijo. But his dad says no. He's worrying about alyanna getting home late at night. You know that old man is over protective parang siya pa ang nanay.

Ashton Rivera: Thank you tita! but, ill assure Sir. Ferrer that ill get yanna home before 12!

Caroline Ferrer: Oops, before 12 is a no-no he said.

Ashton Rivera: How about before 11 po?

Caroline Ferrer: Ashton this is me, Alyanna's dad.

"Alam mo ba kinabahan ako dyan." sabi ni ashton sa tabi ko na kumakain ng popcorn. Hindi ko siya pinansin at nagpatuloy sa pag-scroll down.

Ashton Rivera: Hi sir, good evening po. I promise sir, ill get yanna home before 11 pm.

Caroline Ferrer: Why should i trust you? and how can i be i sure that you'll take good care of her?

Ashton Rivera: I know im just yanna's suitor and i know you dont trust me, sir. But trust me sir, and i promise that ill get yanna home before 11, safe. I won't do anything that will make her in trouble. She is a precious gem to me that ill always protect. And i won't fail you sir.

Caroline Ferrer: Hey ashton, its me again, Tita Caroline!

Caroline Ferrer: I think you just made the old man say yes.
