7: Old secrets

This chapter is dedicated to Zoya hum.

"But why don't you want me to go back there, it's my rightful place to be not this place we are living. We deserve to be living comfortably in that palace." An average guy said. he has been angry ever since his mother told him something.

"you are an illegitimate child, you can't go and claim the throne. The council won't listen besides, Muhammad ardo will not agree you are his son. he has different ways of hiding his past. You know how powerful he is ." his mother said. she has been trying to tell her son about his identity.

"But why did he not end up marrying you." The boys said. he has been desperate to know every detail about his mother's life. He's going to destroy the life of the man who who caused his mother so much pain.

"His family ended up closing the matter because he was their first child and only male. His father didn't want the throne to go to another family so they kept on hiding all his  misdeeds untill he became king".

"When did you meet him". He asked. He didn't want to miss anything.

"It was thirty years ago............

Flash back

" I really love you and I promise I'll marry you,just come let's go. Muhammad said.

" I can't go anywhere with you. It's against the principles of my family." Ramatu said. She is the girl Muhammad has been trying to woo but with the way his taking it she's scared for her dignity which is on the line.

"That means you don't love me and since you don't want to give me what I want am going to take it forcefully. I can not imagine a royal like me begging a pauper like you". He said annoyed. He has that bad character if being pompous because he is a prince.

"What do you mean by you'll take it by force". Ramatu said but she was already late. Her mouth had already been covered and she was dragged to the car. The took her to one of the royals house where he raped her and gave her beatings in-between for trying to defend herself.

"Am done with her, take her and throw her from where we picked her. Muhammad  said after bathing. they took an unconscious Ramatu and threw her on the road leaving her to struggle for survival.

"Who did this to you,yanzu Ramatu abin kunya da za ki kawo Mana kenan".( Is this the shameful you brought to this family) Ramatu's mother, maimunatu said. She found out her daughter was pregnant.

"Wallahi umma ba lafina na bane, fyade ya min". ( It's not my fault. He raped me). Ramatu said crying while trying to save herself from another round of beating. She can't imagine the disgrace that comes with getting pregnant out of wedlock.

"Who, waye ne. Ki fada min waye ne."  (Tell me who is the person).

"Umma it's Muhammad yaron sarki". (It's Muhammad, the king's son). Ramatu said and her mother fell to the floor weeping. She knew this was the end. Her daughter could never get justice since this are the kind of people involved in this case.

"Mai ya faru ne, Ina ta jin hayaniya tun da ga waje".(what is happening, I've been hearing noise from outside ) mallam ilu said. He entered to find his wife on the mat weeping and his daughter at the end of the house also crying.

"Mallam yarinya Nan ta jawo Mana abin kunya".(this girl has brought disgrace to this family).

"Mai ya faru ne".(tell me exactly what happened. His wife has been talking in parables and he wants to understand what was going on.

"Mallam, yarinya Nan na da juna biyu" maimunatu finally said. Mallam ilu looked at his daughter and then at his wife. He didn't say anything, he just slowly went and sat down close to his wife and asked her to tell him everything and which she did. After some minutes he motioned for his daughter to come closer who hesitated seeing how her mother had beat her earlier but her father gave her a reassuring look and she came closer.
