Because I'm a sweetheart and it's my birthday you guys get an update earlier.

She had just one destination in mind. And that was home. She wouldn't blame anyone cause she decided to go on her own accord and what did she get in return? Comments that almost had her doubting her self worth.

Why she decided to visit them is something she doesn't know. After all her mother only suggested, she would have decided whether to go or not.

She hastened her steps trying to get home quicker, the scorching sun wasn't helping matters and the stares she was getting was only adding to her anger.

The people in malumfashi would never change.

Yes she was in malumfashi, and she has been there for two month now getting to three in two days time.

The day jabbar told her about everything, she couldn't take it. Never for once did she ever imagine it to be that deep. She expected maybe heartbreak or betrayal but not murder.

She cried her self to unconsciousness and when she woke up, she found her dada close to her and she couldn't be more greatful. She wouldn't have known what she would have done if she saw jabbar first.

Nawal stopped staying in the chamber completely, she followed Dada to her side that she was giving in the main palace. It was till a week that Dada was ready to go and Nawal said she was coming with.

At first the old woman blantly refused saying whatever issues she has with her husband should be resolved and she wasn't going anywhere but Nawal wasn't having any of it. It was either Dada let's her come with or she'll leave the house till she finds it dim fit for her to return.

The seriousness in her tone made hajiya Binta to know she wasn't joking and she would do it so she agreed. It was better to know where she is than not to. She only told her she was only taking her if her husband allowed her to go so she had to go and ask for his permission.

It took Nawal two days before she finally gathered the courage to ask jabbar after much grumbling and pleading.

She still remembered vividly how thier conversations went.

Nawal sat outside on the foyer waiting for him to get back, she didn't even want to enter the chamber. And to think that is her home.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice he had been standing there for the past five minutes staring at her. He cleared his throat to announce his presence.

"Hey there". His voice soft. She never knew he could sound like that. She flinched placing her palm on her racing heart. She got scared.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you". He said. He contemplated on whether to sit down or not before deciding on the former. He wanted to see her expression as they talked. Maybe she was ready to talk now.

Nawal felt the couch dip with his weight. She turned to look at him. He looked terrible she wouldn't lie. His Beard and hair looks over grown, he had bags under his eyes and for the first time when she saw how dull his eyes looked not the usual fire it had in them.

She looked away.

"How have you been?". That's what he's supposed to do right? He was talking so careful too scared that his words may anger her. He thought she was here to talk things out. If only she knew. Nawal shut her eyes.

She didn't like what he was doing. Why was he talking like that. Why was he trying to make this harder. She swallowed hard. She wasn't going to fall. She needed to go for her own sanity.
