It's a long one

She was waiting. Dada had told her to wait for Asmau and Ihfan to come before she came back home. They were going to be discharged today. That's why she had gone to get them what to eat before Asmau and Ihfan came with breakfast.

Jabbar regained consciousness the day hajiya Binta came back but wasn't released cause he has to be observed to be sure he was perfectly fine and fit and would be able to go home.

Throughout the three days that he  regained consciousness, he hasn't said a word to anybody and Mai martaba had to make the doctor check and be sure he hasn't become dumb but the doctor confirmed he was fine.

Nawal who has been the one still staying with him, had carried on with her daily activities like she wasn't the one praying day and night for his health. She has also ignored him the same way he has been doing to everyone else that has been coming to check on him even though she doesn't miss the occasional stares he threw her way.

How could she, when she sometimes pretends to be using her phone when in reality she wants him to open his filthy mouth and explain without her having to ask.

She smiled remembering what happened last night.

She had come back to the room after escorting the two couples that came to keep her company since he whose name is not to be mentioned had shut everyone out.

She came back still having a smile on her face while remembering a joke that Jamil made on thier way out. That boy is really a clown.

Nawal closed the door behind her and  immediately thier eyes clashed her smile fell her mood damping instantly. That was the power he had. Spoiling her mood just by looking at his extremely handsome face.

She looked away before moving to where her belongings are kept trying to get a pajamas to change into. Now she was going to be bored till tomorrow. She couldn't wait for them to get home tommorow even though she hasn't concluded yet what decision to make after everything that has happened and he wasn't saying anything about it either.

Forestalling their conversation wouldn't help anybody. So the sooner he opened his mouth and they talked about everything that has happened the better it would be.

When she looked at him. She saw something different in his eyes today. Instead of the normal bored look he was always carrying since he woke up, he has a different look. He looked tired of everything like he was drained and if he didn't talk he'll be hunted for the rest of his life.

She looked away immediately not liking the swirl of her emotions. A myriad of different things that she couldn't place a finger on were starting to overwhelm her. She pushed his thoughts aside ready to change into her pajama and retire for the night since it was already late. They left quite late.

Her hand casually went behind her dress trying to unzip it but the dress wasn't having any of it. She tugged hard on it but it wasn't coming down.

She hissed loudly unconsciously. Don't get her Wong, she's a very patient person but when it comes to little things she gets irritated easily. How on Earth is she supposed to sleep in the straight gown if it doesn't come down. Another hiss escaped her lips realizing there was nobody to help her with it and just like on a cue she felt someone's presence behind her.

"May I?" She almost flinched at the huskiness of his voice ringing so close to her. She turned to look at him and he had a look of uncertainty on his face and not the angry brutal one she was used to seeing most of the time they spent together.

She turned her head back before nodding for him to go ahead.

He stared at the zip trying to get where the problem was from before moving his hand to zip it down.
